We were told about this by fisher apparently at the port vale game. It's to do with the budget or something and Rob S confirmed it's not that bad. Just living within our means or something

Everyone knows SISU are shit owners and every can't wait to get rid of them. But what frustrates a lot of people is when every tiny thing that goes wrong is pinned on the owners, when actually these things are not entirely their fault.

Recognising that not absolutely everything is 100% their fault (Mowbray making shit signings with a competitive budget, Mowbray making daft substitutions, Wasps being arseholes, the council being arseholes), is not the same as people defending SISU are being an "apologist" or whatever the hell the latest daft label is.

If you cannot see that it is not the same thing, than you are a waste of time arguing because you obviously don't have the intellect to participate in a proper debate.

Every little thing that goes wrong IS the fault of the owners. Look, they are the current custodians of our club and as such it is up to them to forge strong links with all parties who are in a position to affect the effective and proper running of the club. Did they do that? ......of course not. They are therefore totally responsible for our present state.

Why do people like you talk about 'Budget' ?? You don't know anymore about how that 'budget' is being passed down than the next man ! SISU have lied about almost everything for 4 years, they're destructive club killing cunts just trying for a soft landing. There will be a handful of dick heads still defending them to the last and thousands of loyal City fans holding their head in their hands soon saying we tried to warn you, some of us right from 2007 !

Are you stupid or are you crazy? Who is defending them??

You're right about the budget. All I can go by is what was widely reported to be a top 6 budget last year, and this year Mowbray said it wasn't any different. So unless he's a liar.....

What a load of bollucks

They appointed mowbray which everyone thought was a fantastic achievement myself included. He massively underachieved. They couldn't have predicted that.

They're shit owners and they've messed a huge amount of things up. Unforgivable stuff. But apportioning blame pragmatically isn't the same as defending SISU for their competence as owners

Never saw anywhere we had a top 6 budget last season or this season. Mowbray didn't have a top 6 budget for this season. I have no proof per se but if you think he did then fine but deluded.

Based on this how did mowbray "underachieve?"

My best guess was he was given a top 12 budget and he got 8th. I call that a fair honest go at it with some real highlights in that season. Best for ages. Highest finish for ages.

I disagree and will go dig it up where it was quoted as top 6. But fine, assume you're right, if we had top 12 and it's the same this year....is bottom of the league underachieving?

It is obvious he was under achieving to anybody with eyes.

Still, people shout about his hands being tied and him the best manager we have had etc etc. Same people shouted about Thorn and his hands being tied.

Not many comment on his stupid substitutions or failing tactics though.

Not sure who isn't criticising his subs and tactics I know I am one. Some were very strange and didn't help and results from the turn of the year from top was unacceptable but I'm sorry I'm not having mowbrays hands wernt tied and he was clearly made very unhappy by some things. At least he cared.

Look ultimately mowbray didn't win enough games but to say he had a top 6 budget and everything was his fault because he made some bizarre subs just isn't right.

Yes I'm not arguing with you we hadn't won a game this season and that's not good enough but to blame all that on mowbray isn't right. Does he have a top 6 budget? No one I've seen has proof what it is but it just isn't top 6. We more than likely have a top 12 budget and yes underperforming but in football you need time to judge and mowbray just clearly looked a beaten man and he was ground down. Just like every other manager we have had. Not one manager has succeeded here and in my opinion there is more to it than a few dodgy subs.

And yet here people are, with pitchforks and torches about possibly selling the bloody training ground. Where were you then?

I told you all Mowbray had his hands tied. I also told you all CA was a decent man but wasn't being backed by SISU. I told you all Mowbray and Venus had a interview at RUFC. There's a hell of a lot of lies flying around, and none of them are coming from me!

Where was I, now let me see? Ah yes!, being what you claim to be doing, looking at all sides and making up my mind which side are fighting clean, and which side are not. Also putting aside any impartiality(Impartiality (also called evenhandedness or fair-mindedness) is a principle of justice holding that decisions should be based on objective criteria, rather than on the basis of bias, prejudice, or preferring the benefit to one person over another for improper reasons.) and deciding for myself and not be a sheep.

No-one that I know is, and noone i've seen on this forum. But that doesn't stop people from seeing past the pathetic "blind hatrid" that mean everyone points towards SISU for everything that possibly goes bloody wrong.
It is not blind hatred though is it?
Everyone knows the club was poorly run before they arrived but they took it on.
Also they have been here awhile now. But there are are continual recurring themes like:
Lack of communication with fans (so it is hard to be sympathetic).
Inconsistent statements.
Lack of progress.
Lack of a viable plan.
Dwindling club assets.
We are at two heads of terms (approx 12 months ago) nothing since.
It is alright blaming Wasps, Higgs and CCC for being spiteful but are they really. These organisations seem to have success full business relationship with numerous parties except when it comes to SISU.
We won't move forward as a club because SISU won't invest, or can't afford to invest, or cannot attract the investors....which feeds back to having no viable plan for the club.

Until they stop navel gazing and feeling sorry for themselves, until they start planning a way out for the club, explaining it and selling it to the fans the club is dead in the water. It is up to them to turn their own investment round, it is their job their responsibility, no one else's.

The poor start this year is down, in large part to Mowbray, I don't know why people can't grasp that.
Yes sisu are running the club into the ground, but there's no way Mowbray was working with less resources that Flicroft at Bury or Alexander at Scunthorpe.
Mowbray took credit for the great start last year and he has to take responsibility for the poor start this year, no-one knows for sure what the budget is or how comparable it is with other clubs but I would wager that after Burys cost cutting over the summer Flicroft is working under greater restraints than Mowbray was.

You can blame sisu for many things, (most things), but some of Mowbrays selections and tactics this season were baffling.

That's why I said Mowbray had to go. He was like a cork bobbing up and down in the sea with no direction or purpose. For me he lost the will to carry on quite early on this season so decided to quit.
*Edit* I also believe SISU reneged on the budget for this season too, looking at the quality against last years' team.

You are defending them by putting a positive on the situation on their behalf,
Mowbray actually said it was 'slightly' less than last year so why say it was the same?
Unless you are trying to do the justifying for them while they remain quiet.
People should starve them of oxygen and they will go. Make them unwelcome and they will go. Stop talking to them like friends at matches and they will go.
Death by a thousand cuts.

There's every chance that was a factor, the whole carry on at the club.
perhaps that's why some clubs always do well no matter who they appoint and others, (namely us), always seem to struggle.

that's fair enough, I really want them gone, but I really don't want to be owned by the wasps hedge fund or any of their pals either but you're quite happy to accommodate them.

The only difference between them and sisu is that business wise, they seem to know what they are doing, morally, they're cut from the same cloth, but that doesn't seem to bother you.

I think the answer you are looking for Clint is "nothing"
Wasps have had nothing whatsoever to do with the mismanagement of our football club and the type of company they are has nothing to do with it either.

I never said it did, I said it's hypocritical of Italia to criticise someone for what he perceives as sticking up for sisu while banging the drum for wasps.

Maybe you would like wasps to buy CCFC, I personally wouldn't, though if that's the only escape route from the clutches of sisu then I'd probably have to accept it, though I certainly wouldn't be getting giddy over the idea like some.

Ha, maybe we all look for a straw to clutch at.
Perhaps there's sky blue sheikh waiting in the wings to bung Joyless £80m for the club.
Or maybe we have to learn to accept that it's more likely the club goes under.
Somehow this doesn't seem the terrible option we faced when we had as a Championship club with ambitions of promotion.
How much longer will it be before we start envying the resurgence of Hereford?

On the pitch the blame can only be laid at the owners so far. Mowbray was never the next Jimmy Hill despite what some over zealous younger fans on Face Book thought or hoped, he fucked things up in the summer as our league position shows. Though one thing last season showed that if we are in a strong league position in January SISU will not give the necessary backing to gain promotion.

What happens on the pitch is almost superficial, the clubs biggest battle sadly is going to be determine off the pitch, even its very future is at stake and that is 100% in the hands of SISU.
