Has this lad actually started training with thd team yet? If not, I assume he may join in when the team travels to Portugal. Anyone know anything? KKH is getting all the attention at the moment and no mention of this lad

I see that he has joined up with the squad in Portugal this morning from an article and photos released by the club. Haji has also joined up.

Just back from dancing. He was in a bad mood and didn't accept the Tortilla Española (a potato omelet) that my wife cooked, which is out of character for him.
Shame he came here on a promise of being our starting left back, was very settled in Spain previously.
Also, apparently, he doesn’t like Da Silva and resents him for the fact he sold his Brazilian heritage to become Welsh.
Not saying its shitting in boots territory, but.... as well as I know Miguel - all I can say is I wouldn't want to be 'little jay' in this situation.
That's all I can say. Hopefully over the international break he can relax a little and take his Mrs shopping round central 6 and cheer her up.
I dont hold much hope as all the shops are shit.

I can’t tell if there’s supposed to be a genuine nugget here or not..?

No, because nuggets are American.

He's talking about Spain, which is paella and donkeys with hats on.

Easy to tell the difference. Also, the Spanish would say he is very comfortable going forwards and the Yanks would say he's awesome on the soccer ball.

I know I’m in a minority but the little I’ve seen of him he’s not been any good tbh. Nowhere near Dasilva on his current form.

Positionally defensively he is much better than JDS & actually tries to tackle rather than just watch the player run past him

He's not looked ready to start yet, nowhere near.

I do believe there's a player there, but not just yet, and with 2 experienced players ahead of him, there's no need to rush him.

This just doesn’t make sense to me tbh. Have you watched us at all this season?
Yes, both home games & the couple that have been on Sky. JDS is dreadful defensively & just watches the play go on around him. You constantly go on about needing to be better defensively yet seem to like a defender who contributes nothing to actually doing his primary job. Whilst Brau hasn't been outstanding he has shown enough for me to replace JDS already.

Brau will be the starting left back surely. Dasilva is a defensive liability
EMC needs to keep closer to him or he's badly exposed. Always prone to overplaying and giving the ball away too instead of finding the stand or hoofing a long clearance. Sometimes I think our CB problems come from having to cover the left side.

From the little we've seen of Brau I think being good positionally couldn't be much further from the truth.

He's showed some decent glimpses and looks to have a good cross on him, but positionally he is all over the shop.

Think this is an insane take but each to their own

It's half insane. The bit about JDS i agree with. Brau hasn't yet shown himself to be better and I think the reverse of what ovduk said, in that Brau looks good going forward, but his defensive positioning isnt thrre. Once that's resolved and hes used to the pace of the game id expect him to start, but no rush.

I figure Brau is the Bidwell sucession option. A big lad who gets a good cross in. Good for those games when the opposition try to bully us.

Can't tell whether the intention is to keep Bidwell beyond this season but if we intend to sign 2 centre backs perhaps he becomes a makeweight in a deal somewhere. You lead a bit of an itinerant lifestyle if you are a professional footballer.
