OMG he wants his knee in front of himYep hope so. He had a knee injury a couple of seasons ago so hopefully that's fully behind him now

Yes he's probably done the behind him thing with the knee already. Ouch!OMG he wants his knee in front of him
Which he is now of course. Let's hope he recovers for Norwich. It's started already, guys.Unless Da Silva gets injured
Is he? He's looked all over the place. JDS' best defensive asset is 50:50 tackles, his low centre of gravity makes him pretty strong in themPositionally defensively he is much better than JDS & actually tries to tackle rather than just watch the player run past him

Grimes had played hundreds of games in the championshipBrau has looked off the pace so far which you would probably expect where he has come from.
New country, new club, new manager, new style of football.
I expect all new players to take time to get up to speed, although Grimes just came in and did it. Even Vic and Gus took time to reach peak form.
I would be a little concerned if he started against Norwich. If JDS is injured, it is Brau, Bidders or KKH as an outsider.
Hmmm I don't think that is JDS' best asset at all, or at least I see little evidence of it. To me his best asset is keeping possessio, through safe, bland, negative passing. That wouldn't be so bad if he kept the passing tempo, but he often kills it and send us backwards.
But he has looked better this season without pulling up trees.
Dasilva tackles a lot because that's usually his second touch of the ball.Dasilva was in the 90th centile or something for tackles last season. Bidwell, who seems to have a reputation as a tough tackler, was 3rd centile!

Agree with the general consensus of giving players a chance to settle but Torp scored a belter on his debutAbsolutely!
Torp didn't set the world alight when he first arrived but look at him now. Although, over the whole season, I expect Rudoni to be our best player I would say that Torp is the best so far. He's a cracking find for us.
Give Brau a chance. I like what I have seen of him so far and hold high hopes that he will be a good player for us.
He did come from a different country though, to be fairGrimes had played hundreds of games in the championship![]()
Torp needed time himself though, looked a yard off the pace in quite a few games last seasonAgree with the general consensus of giving players a chance to settle but Torp scored a belter on his debut
Cup at Sheff Weds I think.
Took Torp 18 months. I'd imagine it will be similar with Brau
Best in the squad. His intricate passing with EMC, & Rudoni on the left side is a joy to watch too. Very rarely gives the ball away.Only one thing to say on the matter that really stands out with him for me above most of the division. His first touch is absolutely superb.
Of the 13 defensive metrics last season, Dasilva was better than Bidwell in just 4 of them. And two or those are ground duels which includes both defensive and offensive duels, which will be skewed as Dasilva dribbles and Bidwell doesn't.Dasilva was in the 90th centile or something for tackles last season. So Bidwell can block, clear and head stuff. Dasilva can intercept and tackle. The team’s defensive outcomes are a bit worse with Dasilva, but he’s much better on the ball.Of the 13 defensive metrics last season, Dasilva was better than Bidwell in just 4 of them. Bidwell is a good type of player as backup. Never moans, trains hard and is always ready when called upon. As you say yourself a solid player for us. But many seem to want better and expect them to be the professional he is when they don't get chosen for weeks. At least we know we can rely on him whenever called upon.Da Silva has been our best left back since Lampard came in and it’s not even close. Bidwell has always had this somewhat strange ‘cult hero’ status. He’s always just been a solid player for us, nothing more and nothing less.
How do you know he never moans? do you know him personally?Bidwell is a good type of player as backup. Never moans, trains hard and is always ready when called upon. From previous experience going back years from new signings?Unfortunately with Brau I fear it will be never. I’m unsure, looking at his pedigree (20 odd Sunday league games) and his performances here both in the Championship and against inferior opposition in pre season, how anyone can think differently.
How do you know he does? How do you know he never moans? do you know him personally?
you are the one who literally made an assumption in your postHow do you know he does?
Bassette was said to be a problem. He is now not with us this season. Bidwell has always been close to the 1st team with Lampard.
I see you're at it again. Each time I've posted something today you've come straight in with a comment with no substance yet you say you never do such a thing. I hope you're still enjoying counting your 'like' percentage without coming out with anything worthwhile.

Assumption? Lampard plays players that work hard and is part of the team. He plays them players. This isn't an assumption. He has stated so himself.you are the one who literally made an assumption in your post
Has Bidwell stopped working hard in training this season?Lampard plays players that work hard and is part of the team. He plays them players. This isn't an assumption. He has stated so himself.
