Assumption? Lampard plays players that work hard and is part of the team. He plays them players. This isn't an assumption. He has stated so himself.

You stated the opposite to what I said without the slightest bit of evidence. This is an assumption.

And you are using this as fact. Bidwell may work hard and be part of the team, but doesn't confirm he doesn't moan or be unhappy about not sharting. Bidwell may well be unhappy about not starting but decides to work hard to get his place back.

Too be honest neither of you haver any facts either way

What signings have we plucked from La Liga 2? What are the examples?

If you pull out Gyokeres, I wanted him signed straight away:

…yeah so he got a better offer we couldn’t match. A better offer we wouldn’t match more likely. I think it was the extra year that clinched it for Bristol rather than cash

Are you saying he is shite because we haven't signed anyone from La Liga 2 before?

And what Lampard has said in the past doesn't count?

No I am saying he is shite because I can see it with by own eyes. You said you know from previous experience he is going to improve, what previous experience?

Weren’t you ‘certain’ KKH was going to be left back anyway? Very astute of you

Saying hes a good pro is not the same as saying he doesn't moan and its not happy about not starting

Seven-Goran Eriksson called Gary Neville very very professional but also a professional moaner

So a good pro moans about not being chosen to play most of the time

Why is it the same people defend sparks every time he is shown to be wrong and come out with rubbish like this?

Are you all the same person?

I'm not defending Sparks, he can look after himself, his is not right or wrong, like you he doesn't know as a fact. My point is you are treating assumptions as fact that you can't back up unless you are on the training ground or in the changing room. You have no idea what Bidwell or any player is like.

If Bidwell was an actual moaner, big difference between that and someone who would just generally like more playing time btw, he'd have been out of the door with Bassette. Lampard talks about the spirit in the group often, he wouldn't allow shit like that.

Of the 13 defensive metrics last season, Dasilva was better than Bidwell in just 4 of them. And two or those are ground duels which includes both defensive and offensive duels, which will be skewed as Dasilva dribbles and Bidwell doesn't.

fbref paints a very different picture. Dasilva stacks up very well statistically and Bidwell was very poor.

Dasilva left - Bidwell right

Statistically Dasilva was way ahead of Bidwell last season:

I think this is also why Jamie Allen is still around and seems to be so liked by managers

Perhaps its because I'm offering an opinion and people agree with it. You are not the final say on things. People have conflicting opinions.

Agreed. Will never be considered to be a part of the 1st team without injuries but always relied on to play his part.

Constantly saying I'm wrong without offering any evidence of any sort isn't offering an opinion. That's why I constantly say you follow me around like a bad smell.

Bidwell used to be a dependable player but there was a point halfway through last season where he looked absolutely shot to pieces and he's looked a liability since. Sat behind the goal a few times last season and his positioning was absolutely terrible, every runner in behind him was in acres of space

So Bidwell can block, clear and head stuff. Dasilva can intercept and tackle. The team’s defensive outcomes are a bit worse with Dasilva, but he’s much better on the ball.

That’s the choice. NB I see the stats are from last season, and Dasilva seems to be improving his all round game.

Clean sheets and goals conceded are the only metric that counts.

Everything else is just meaningless drivel purely compiled to let people whos opinions mean fuck all, argue the toss amongst themselves on the interweb on a boring Thursday afternoon.

Can we all agree that neither Bidwell or Dasilva are good enough for a team that's looking to get promotion?

Even Lampard said he was surprised how good Grimes has been. Every new player still has to adapt to new team mates and style of play, along with moving location disruption. Leaving his in-laws behind may have helped.
Be interesting to see how players who have made a lot of Championship and even Prem football turn out at their new clubs. It doesn't always work.

Da Silva has been our best left back since Lampard came in and it’s not even close. Bidwell has always had this somewhat strange ‘cult hero’ status. He’s always just been a solid player for us, nothing more and nothing less.

I thought Bidders was fine until that injury caused by a terrible tackle by that Sheff Wed player. He has looked pedestrian since then. It maybe his recovery (if it happens) has not been as quick as we all would have liked.
