I thought that tooIt looks like BTA is hobbling a bit but his injury can't be all that bad if he's bouncing around like that.
Wouldn’t put it past Doug at allUnfortunately I can't see him being let go unless a massive fee is offered. There would be numerous clubs interested, including prem. I don't think we had a buy agreement.
If he stays with us until the end of the season and we go up then who knows![]()
Exactly, this is why I think if we’re going to crumble and fuck this up, it’ll be in December. We're getting an awful lot of difficult away games out of the way before the main run in (say matchday 30/31) too. Then your Southamptons, Boros, Stokes and so on all have to come here and get something.
In return, I'd say Bristol City and Hull are tough places we still have to travel to later in the season, but that's it.
He also reacted very quickly when MVE attempted a repeat of the Sunderland home PO leg.
the aforementioned "whey's" can he hearded even better here, also what a goal
All those things were true, but nothing materialised into a meaningful chance. We ended the game with a lot more shots and xG which tells you we had our own moments and deserved to win the game.
The own goal was an unforced error so it was gift that they drew level.
Boro were the only other unbeaten team at home going into this one. This was always going to be a tough fixture and even at 2-0, felt we needed a 3rd to see the game through.
I thought it was Jamie Allen?I think it was KKH? but yes he was out like a whippet
Im sure it was KKHI thought it was Jamie Allen?
We had a plan and we hit Boro consistently on the counter attack. We were open in the defensive transitions at times and needlessly put pressure on ourselves in possessions. Overall, the plan was executed well and we created the better chances and deservedly won the game. Lampard and his team will be disappointed we gave up a 2-0 lead but their response after the subs was fantastic.Absolutely bang on. Playing well can be defending well. We didn't control the game but we were brilliant going fwd and could've scored more especially in the first half.
Did we even struggle, not in my opinion.I don't think we were dreadful at all. I thought Boro were immense and in that mood all teams would have struggled.
47 goals in 17 games....insane

Eeek yep crass that bloody hell

For context, Boro’s xG for the game was 1.05 and Conway’s miss was 0.53 xG alone and basically their only shot of half upto that point. Both our ‘big chances’ came after that miss.
Boro had more control of the game, pretty normal for an unbeaten home side, but did next to nothing with it. Even their 1st half goal was their only shot on target.
I think more often they get beaten by our goals.Quote from the Boro forum:

Get any on you?Sims was an absolute beast-best game in a City shirt and delighted for him. Even came into the crowd while celebrating!
I think that can in part also be put down to Middlesbrough generally struggling to create chances as of late. Do you think the scoreline would've been the same if we'd allowed Southampton or Ipswich that much time on the ball?
We're creeping back into bad defensive habits, in particular losing concentration at key intervals and allowing teams to break in behind us, most notably on the flanks.
As mentioned previously, our attacking potency thankfully has proven too much for teams to handle so we're still winning games which is incredible to be honest - baring in mind we've conceded 4 times in 2 games.
It's just something for the coaching staff to consider and look to resolve as we're starting to look less solid at the back than we were.
Depends. Both those teams create a lot of xG but both of them are tracking below this.I think that can in part also be put down to Middlesbrough generally struggling to create chances as of late. Pretty sure some reporter got sacked for that exact same simile in the past. So as well as pathetically crass, it's also plagiarised.
If you watch Simms first when he hits it the boro fans make sarcastic wheys thinking he has spooned it
Except it didn’t, they had 1 shot on target all second half which was a 0.01 xG chance from Whittaker. They had threat, but we nullified them barring one chance that they missed. The plan in the second half of the first half went a bit tits up when they managed to overload our flanks through their press when we tried to progress the ball then either broke down the wings or in behind our midfield. We were too pedestrian in the defensive transition at times and constantly lost the ball / Boro easily recycled the ball in threatening areas.
It’s fucking sick that’s what it is - twatsPretty sure some reporter got sacked for that exact same simile in the past. So as well as pathetically crass, it's also plagiarised.
And SAfter a sloppy game Saturday Kitching has been an absolute monster tonight
Jeez ssshhhh..be positive.Exactly, this is why I think if we’re going to crumble and fuck this up, it’ll be in December.
We lost away to Ipswich, Southampton, PNE and Birmingham in 23/24 a repeat of that would be damaging.
I think we’ll get 8 points from those games an that’s being slightly optimistic.
