Lampard confirming BTA felt the hammy.
Tatsu is a bit dazed after being hit in the face by the ball

No I agree mate but you get my point 3-2 and the narrative completely changesAt the same time I don't think Thomas scores that own goal 99% of the time, bit of a freak
Camera angle had me thinking that effort was going well wide and Eccles' header was inThe way he shaped up I thought he was about too balloon if over too tbh
At the same time I don't think Thomas scores that own goal 99% of the time, bit of a freak
Well I wouldn't have had any complaints if they'd gone ahead, they will not play that well again all season. No I agree mate but you get my point 3-2 and the narrative completely changes
Fortunately he had super Liam to bail him out.At the same time I don't think Thomas scores that own goal 99% of the time, bit of a freak
Rewatched it a few times and not sure what he was trying to do tbfBeen hard pressed to find a defender that hasnt made a massive balls up
I'd imagine now we would be about 80% to win the title. It was mid 70's before this game. Can someone do that % predicted promotion things after x amount of games, compared to teams from the last 20 years? @shmmeee - think it might have been you?
FL dropped him. The lad has potential but is still learning which I don't have a problem with. But he isn't at the level of most of our squad yet.Do you always talk nonsense, or only on this forum?
This season Simms has looked better. The underlying data suggested there was much more to come from him this season and he’s proving that. His movement in the box has always been good and we’ve been better and creating chances this season.Im not sure you get that performance from him tonight if you sign Bamford. Psychologically Simms would be looking over his shoulder but he knew it was on him tonight and his confidence/all round play was like his first season here
There's risks with a small squad and they might still trip us up but there’s also benefits. Everyone’s involved regularly and staying sharp
I would take Lampard’s and his coaches approach to football matches as my first option, above others. Particularly at this current time.I think really id have liked to have seen another man in midfield a bit sooner bevause we got a grip of the game almost immediately and probably wolf on for MVE would have made sense .. MVE had a poor night
Well absolutely but theres nothing wrong with discussing thingsI would take Lampard’s and his coaches approach to football matches as my first option, above others. Particularly at this current time.
Nor me , just spunked the clearanceRewatched it a few times and not sure what he was trying to do tbf
Thought we looked so much better back in our normal shapeI would take Lampard’s and his coaches approach to football matches as my first option, above others. Particularly at this current time.
Fair point on Conway, equally Simms was clean through first half and it took a brilliant last ditch tackle from Ayling to deny him. The goalkeeper is as part of the team as anyone else so I don't put that quite in the 'fortunate' category, it's what he's there for.
But fully agree with the second half of your post, it's been done to us countless times in this division.
Yeah, but maybe that's the trainer's nickname. He said “hammy “ to the trainer ?
Good strike thoughAt the same time I don't think Thomas scores that own goal 99% of the time, bit of a freak
Im completely with you that we were poor in large spells , We are bloody deadly infront of goal thoughI'm not taking anything away from Rushworth. If anything I'm saying the vast majority of GK's probably wouldn't have saved that effort. We're fortunate that Conway ballsed up his chance though. 9/10 times he would've buried that.
The lack of urgency from us during significant periods was frustrating to watch. They're not exactly the most ruthless in front of goal and have struggled in recent games which has shown and we didn't need to be so penned in. It put unnecessary pressure on our backline which often looked panicked and disjointed when they were pushed back and the likes of Hackney got in behind our midfield.
It was always going to be difficult for them to keep the ball out the back of their net though even despite their excellent home record and solid defence. After about 70 minutes their midfield completely dead on their feet which helped open up the game massively.
It's the latest in a series of moments now where it makes me now pretty sure it's our season. Opposition players getting sent off on or just after half time (WBA, Watford), stunning individual goals from low xG chances, opposition players fluffing their chances, the headstart granted by the relegated clubs...when it's your season, these things just seem to fall into place.I'm not taking anything away from Rushworth. If anything I'm saying the vast majority of GK's probably wouldn't have saved that effort. We're fortunate that Conway ballsed up his chance though. 9/10 times he would've buried that.

Just pure laziness from EMC

Whilst we were poor, we only gave up 1 big chance which Conway missed. That was the momentum shifter. Aside from that, nothing of note was created because we defended very well.Im completely with you that we were poor in large spells , We are bloody deadly infront of goal though

It's extraordinary. The difference that was obvious tonight is we have goalscorers in our side. Get the chances and we invaribly score.
