Ellis Simms goal per minutes ratio makes him the deadliest striker with one every 85 league mins.Less than 600 mins all season. Man is a machine.
Fair point on Conway, equally Simms was clean through first half and it took a brilliant last ditch tackle from Ayling to deny him. The goalkeeper is as part of the team as anyone else so I don't put that quite in the 'fortunate' category, it's what he's there for.True, but Conway also missed a complete sitter and it took a wonder save from Rushworth to keep Whittaker out.
The game could've turned out very differently if not for a slice of luck and a very very good GK between the sticks.
It goes to show though that if you don't take your chances against the best sides in the league, that they can and will punish you - which we did to Middlesbrough.
I still say that good teams which play poorly but still win are always going be well up there come the end of the season and even when we're at our worst we're still blowing opposition away.
hallelujahIf we get something from this now it will be a miracle
Who was it that was saying Torp has no pace too hahahahahIf you watch Simms first when he hits it the boro fans make sarcastic wheys thinking he has spooned it
Yeah, but we threw the Kitching Simms back at them.I will say, Middlesbrough have absolutely thrown the kitchen sink at us tonight. That performance from them destroys basically anyone else in the league and ultimately, it's a bizarre own goal and a miscued shot that have got them the goals.
Ok, that might be the post of the year. Gutted I didn't think of it not gonna lie.Yeah, but we threw the Kitching Simms back at them.
I need a (large) drink!!!
Nothing. They should be winning this , nothing lampard has done has improved the performance here
Ellis Simms, that was an immense performance tonight! The best 90 minutes in a Sky Blues shirt. That beats his performance at Wolves. PUSB🩵⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
How pissed is this guy one CWR?
Upto that point it was correct .. absolutely nothing not the formation switch or MVE at CB and KKH going wing backNothing.
I still think we'll win this. Keep the faith.
We're top by a way for a reason
No need for that mate he’s top scorer.Fingers crossed BTA is out long. He was standing about celebrating on the bench. So hopefully he just felt something and took precautions
My apologies, I didn’t read on from that earlier post and I missed your follow up post to say Lampard changed it and we won. Only saw the negative comment.Upto that point it was correct .. absolutely nothing not the formation switch or MVE at CB and KKH going wing back
Then rudoni came on and the game changed
The thing is though, teams have to score 3 to have any chance at the moment, the only team to beat us scored 3, and from memory, the only other team to do it was Derby who got soundly beaten. There's no argument to make really. We were dreadful for large spells either half.
The commentators also said the same.
But we've got the win that's all that matters.

The way he shaped up I thought he was about too balloon if over too tbhIf you watch Simms first when he hits it the boro fans make sarcastic wheys thinking he has spooned it
Needs to learn to not talk over the commentator so much and he's not good on the old heart rate.
He's not bad but he's no Oggy.
They can just wait their fuckin’ turnBring on Ipswich
At the same time I don't think Thomas scores that own goal 99% of the time, bit of a freakThat miss from Conway is the type of luck you need
