Haven’t we already equalled the amount of away goals we scored last season too

But seriously it's great to see him playing well, scoring goals, getting his confidence back and enjoying his football. I'm so pleased for him.

I think there's a lot of tired legs in this team which is causing the opposition to be granted more freedom and opportunities than before. That said, Championship teams have just not proven able to take these opportunities-top flight ones clearly would do and mercilessly so.

And the issues, with injuries and squad size will affect most other teams I the league.

There are a couple who are equipped to cope, but fortunately we're at least 10 points ahead of them

Needs to learn to not talk over the commentator so much and he's not good on the old heart rate.

He's not bad but he's no Oggy.

After winning the first half 2-1, I'd have taken a draw in the second half... Turns out we won that too.

Incredible to come back and win after Boro looked the more likely, another tactical masterclass from Lampard changing the shape to match up Boro.

It's certainly a factor, but I also think as a back line we've reverted to old ways and previous bad habits have started to creep back in, most notably in losing concentration at times.

Last block of games has highlighted that but thankfully we're so ruthless in attack is hasn't mattered.

Just something to watch and correct for future fixtures.

I will say, Middlesbrough have absolutely thrown the kitchen sink at us tonight. That performance from them destroys basically anyone else in the league and ultimately, it's a bizarre own goal and a miscued shot that have got them the goals.

There's no argument to make really. We were dreadful for large spells either half.

The commentators also said the same.

But we've got the win that's all that matters.

I don't think we were dreadful at all. I thought Boro were immense and in that mood all teams would have struggled.

Could they?

The pressure was relentless at times, but apart from Whittaker's shot from distance and the sitter, what did they actually create?

Even their equaliser was an unforced error.

They played well, and we had to put a hell of a shift in to get a result, but I don't think you could say they could have scored a lot of goals.

As we lose Asante we get back Rudoni. I'd rather have both, but it's great to have Rudi back in the side.

For context we’ve scored 3 or more goals in more than half our games. Loving the fact we mix the direct up with the intricate.

That’s exactly what happened to me on Saturday night in the club. Broke out the chicken dance and then checked myself. Unfortunately I hadn’t scored twice and ended up doing a Conway.

As a novice, Fox did really well. Made me laugh that he kept saying 'Coventry' and then changing to 'we'. He was excitable but it came across that he was genuinely enjoying it and he made some good tactical points including spotting the Boro formation change early and then our change, too. Good on him - with a bit more training he'd obviously improve; Oggy has improved immeasurably over the years.

I thought Boro looked very good tonight. If they had a striker that could score we probably lose. They were the better side but ultimately we have goals all over the pitch and we are a nightmare to defend against.

Thought the lads showed great character yet again. Simms was unbelievable, kitching showed his leadership too tonight.

True, but Conway also missed a complete sitter and it took a wonder save from Rushworth to keep Whittaker out.

The game could've turned out very differently if not for a slice of luck and a very very good GK between the sticks.

It goes to show though that if you don't take your chances against the best sides in the league, that they can and will punish you - which we did to Middlesbrough.

I still say that good teams which play poorly but still win are always going be well up there come the end of the season and even when we're at our worst we're still blowing opposition away.
