So people only go to football because there’s a demand? I must’ve been dreaming all these years.

You don’t care about football fans being charged crap prices, okay. I don’t see what ‘caring’ about them has to do with anything tbh.

I'm struggling to think of any other reasons for people to go to football other than demand.

I don't care about other football fans being charged high prices. I'm not sure why you think I would. Just like none of them cared when we got dragged off to Northampton

If there was no demand the attendance would've been zero

Everyone knows it was sold out you clown look at the attendance. It’s was really funny how you kept saying the £50 was last years prices over and over again 😂😂

Yes sure i was wrong about the 50 quid tickets .. still waiting

Not so much demand back then , habit , tradition , friendship and a simple love for the football club , the product itself wasnt in demand at all

Thats still demand though. A demand that is often abused by poor ownership, but demand all the same

Is there anyone on this thread who has actually decided not to attend a game they otherwise would have done due to the new pricing?
Yep. I looked at the prices of the A+ games and immediately decided not to attend any of them.

But seeing as the attendances for those games were still high it shows the demand was there to allow for people like me that wouldn't pay it.

So why did he lower the beer prices by almost half
If they sell double the amount of beer or more because people are drinking in the stadium instead of elsewhere, or even drinking an extra one or two, then they make more money.

And as has been said it could be a short term loss leader to encourage a change in habits so people make drinking at the stadium part of their routine. Whether that would ultimately be successful is to be seen, and I guess they'll find out when the prices go back up.

Id prefer the club to not try and squeeze supporters on matchday for as much as they can afford
The club are a business in a luxury industry. It's literally their job to charge as much as people are willing to pay. If they don't then very soon there'd be no club. And the club is still making a loss.

If we're going down the road of ethics, is it morally right that a business doesn't charge enough to cover its costs? Because the club don't. Pretty much none of them do. As businesses go football is absolutely batshit economically. Massive revenues, high prices and still make a loss.

Somebody should tell derby they are missing a trick
Not a comparable product.

Last few years we've been one of the best teams in the division looking at promotion. People want to watch us. Demand is higher so clubs can set prices higher due to that. Same reason why the price of a BMW is higher than a Hyundai - on the face of it both do the same job but one is much more desirable than the other.

It's about revenue maximisation and many venue owners/promoters will say if they sell out they've undercharged for tickets. They want a high attendance but selling out is not the aim.

We can not like it, but that's the way it works. If it didn't there'd be no entertainment industry at all because it wouldn't be worth their while doing it.

No confirmation by the club that it sold out at any point. If Evo knew your source was Andy Turner, I doubt he’d have wasted his time. It didn’t sell out. This is fact.

It did mate, he's provided a screenshot from an unspecified source with a red circle drawn on it. Conclusive proof.

It didn’t sell out and you still haven’t shown us that they did. It’s hilarious that the ace up your sleeve was an Andy Turner article.

Balls in your court now pal. I give him evidence of £50 season tickets, he was wrong again. I’ve now give him evidence it sold out, again he’s wrong. Where is he anyway, probably pacing the streets still angry with himself for having a total mare on here.

Anyway, im chilling now with a cigar. Laters bitches 😂

I’m talking about the Birmingham game that didn’t sell out. Enjoy your ‘cigar’. More lies probably.

It was not sold out. There were fewer people in the home ends than the Blackburn and Watford games.
