Once you’ve taken out rental and accounted for concessions and STs yeah i think so, might be a bit higher, but won’t be close to the £20 average you’d need to get £10m a season in.

I know as tenants our only revenue is match days our non season ticket gates are around 5000 x ticket price which I think is £22 that’s £110k then there’s a bit of corporate I suppose. How for example does Luton or Millwall or Rotherham or recent prem club Watford beat that.

Well Watford have parachute money. The others may have more profitable commercial departments including sponsorship deals. Difficult to tell without forensic analysis of the books which is never available.

I have just checked in the remaining games there are five cat: A £33, four cat: B £25, one cat: C £20 concessions £15/£10
An average of 3000 away fans brings in over £1.5million.
Seems to me season ticket prices need to rise about 50% if we want to compete on a level footing but not incur mountains of debt.
They have Millwall at cat:C have their fans got better then !

First price increase needs to be on senior tickets they shouldn’t be starting at 60+ it should be mid 60’s at the earliest.

I've always been confused by blanket financial assistance for "pensioners" - or often the over 60 category. Free bus travel, free prescriptions, free TV license, etc. A lot of pensioners are loaded, and certainly don't need any financial help, can't these things be means tested?

It doesn’t need stopping just starting later how many people are retired at 60 and if they are must have plenty of cash.

Lot of Tory MPs although many over 66 and get state pension plus MP salary or House of Lords allowance think the same.
I thought the same too but now I’ve joined the grey haired club I’m quiet happy with it.

Years ago it was probably the correct age but not now.

Looking at the title this is not the best discussion for in here at it sounds like I want a mass cull of senior citizens

a bit harsh mate. Lets face it prescriptions are only given if required to keep you alive or cure you. The free travel is outside the busy hours so don't inconvenience anyone. TV license is now over 75s who are on pension credit. I agree our senior limit for tickets should move with the times though, currently 66 I believe. Means testing costs money as well, so I would rather not pay extra bean counters to check on the old folk, we have enough of that already.

AND A LOT AREN'T, LIKE ME. Btw there's nothing free re: bus passes, prescriptions etc, like countless others I've worked since I was 16 until well over retirement age (yes aren't I lucky I kept down a job(s) for such a long time) and paid my taxes (and still paying tax on my modest private pension I might add) and National Insurance so I reckon northwards of 50 years I've paid my bit, I'm no scrounger, I'm no money bags old c**t who wants everything that's going for sweet fa.
Wait till you're my age and see whether you still feel the way you do now.
I reckon I was brought up in the wrong era because when I was young I didn't have any rights and now I'm old I still don't have any.
Look at the discounts offered to students, have you got any opinions on that? Tax credits, child benefits, income support, housing benefits the list is endless, you telling me that those people are loaded and don't need help?
And don't get me started on how we treat those that have served this country and have fallen on hard times.
Boy, I wouldn't want to live in your world.

I think we need to have a more tiered pricing approach as well, halfway line tickets should be more, probably the naughty corner too. Can’t really do it but some kind of premium option with better seats would be ideal, something between normal and corporate. This is basically the Starbucks pricing model, some twat will want the best so offer it.

Yeah sort of. Not sure it was right. Not sure we’ve got the crowds for it TBH, not sure how you squeeze much more out of ticket sales without a premium option really.

That’s why I think the focus needs to be on corporate and sponsorship. But I’ve no idea where to start with that stuff.

Generally you need everyone who wants to go to go and everyone who can afford to pay more to pay more. As the season ticket fund showed at the moment you can’t even give tickets away necessarily. It all comes back to performance on the pitch. All a bit chicken and egg.

I think he may be signing a new contract any time and you'll probably find he'd already be our top earner without the improved contract.

Tickets will go up anyway

can see it being £500 for an adult ST next year, all prices will jump up too

Probably a flat rate of about £28 a game for on the day aswell

Either way I cant see us matching this years record sales. I'm 80% certain I wont renew next year, I'm struggling to justify it in the current economic climate. Me and the kids with ST's and shirts next year probably looking at £700 plus and thats not a small amount to bang on a credit card

If SISU are still in charge come the start of the new season and prices go above 400 (EB), then I would be leaning towards not renewing.

Just pay for your ST on the finance method. If you go to games then it still works out cheaper.

The club is losing money and king must be buying it with some financial cost to Sisu

if he’s not got plans to put money in and try and improve the position why buy it at all?
