Manchester Airport Incident

The same part of you that won't discuss this properly because the perps are Muslim, is the same one that just got afraid I was calling you racist and took things off track again. You know it, which is why you are now so rattled.

Fuuuuuuuuckinell.

Define “won’t discuss this properly”. Because AFAICT I’m just talking about police conduct; a separate issue to the initial assault. But because you cannot separate the two in your mind you’ve decided that’s not proper discussion. That’s your issue, not mine.

For the record, the two brothers are twats and the mind boggles that the jury couldn’t reach a verdict.

there was zero chance at all of him pulling his weapon out
I don't think anyone has suggested that he was going to fek him up the arse

So ive gone and watched back the footage @Earlsdon_Skyblue1

I remember at the time it happened I felt it was excessive force from the copper. Now that ive watched it back and fully analysed it numerous times, my opinion stands. It was unnecessary, premeditated, and a complete head loss and retaliation.

To cover all the reasons youve given for why it happened and say it was "heat of the moment".

You say there was a huge scuffle happening around him and he reacted quickly. By the time the stamp happened, the guy was on the floor, stiff as a board. The brother (fat guy) was 6 metres away sat on the bench with his hands on his head. And the mother was knelt at his side no threat to anyone. Everyone else around were spectators and a good distance away. No threat. The situation was well under control by the time the stamp happened. Well under control.

You say the taser hadn't fully worked as he moved his head. The guy was tasered by a female officer whilst he was scuffling with the male copper. The male copper then stood up, stood back, pointed his taser, then paused before stamping on his head. If he was such a threat, he had a chance at either A) move in and cuff him, or B) hit him with his taser that still hadn't been fired. The stamp was premeditated 100%.

He'd just been windmilled by the bloke and was clearly angry. He stood up, stepped back, pointed his taser, then stamped. He had more than enough time to assess the situation. More than enough. Ive watched it 30 times and looked at every person in each pass and watched each reaction, action, and movement.

None of this excuses the brothers who are both clearly a pair of bellends. But the stamp from the copper was 100% premeditated and unnecessary.

Your assessment is completely incorrect.

There is nothing in there that counters my points at all. Your argument is based on a headloss, and the situation being contained. Also that he had enough time to plan the stamp. None of these are true. Your understanding of the taser and how it works is also well off, as much as your understanding of real time chaos such as this, particularly in an airport environment, which is relevant. Unless you think you could have done a better job, which is what this possibly comes down to. This would certainly seem likely as you couldn't answer when I asked you what you would have done instead, but seem intent on dying on this hill.

I am glad the police officer delivered such a blow and ensured he couldn't get up. That was good policing. He could have shot him and would have likely been acquitted if he had. It seems like no one here disagrees they didn't deserve it, so try and draw the dots.

Anyway, this is a pointless distraction and will be my last contribution. He used a more measured version of force in this context, which is a context some of you cannot understand, no matter how many times you watch the video. The fact one of these guys got off says a lot about our justice system, and should be the main talking point now given everything going on in this country, and why it had such public interest in the first place.

He could have shot him and been acquitted if he had? honestly mate, you're not in America! I know your "real world combat experience" is a few pub brawls at most, and youre showing it.

You ever heard of the Rules of Engagement? Even if not, surely youve heard of Self Defence Laws? Even under self defence, pulling a weapon on an unarmed man wont stand up in court. Let alone RoE. Self defence if someone punches you, you can use reasonable force to protect yourself. ie. He punched me, so I punched him back in self defence. Not, he punched me, so I shot the c**t!

And RoE and even stricter. Absolutely no chance he is pulling his weapon out on him, and even less chance he's acquitted if he does! Honestly mate, I know it's hard to back a horse so strongly and then admit you got it wrong when it falls at the first hurdle, but youve got this one completely wrong. Put your professional head on, not you scrapping over a woman you seen forst in a nightclub head.

He wouldnt need to scrap to get a woman.

Right, so if someone punches me I can stamp on their head while they're down on the floor and say 'well, i didn't shoot/stab them' and I'll get off.

Thanks, Rumpole.

I've seen people get off with worse when they have been punched first. Not police though granted.

Were those people doing it to a person lying on the floor being held down after? And had they had the training in dealing with these situations that the copper must have had just to do the job?

It's about the state of the person when they got kicked in the head. Had the policeman kicked him during the fight when he hadn't been subdued I'd be defending the policeman to the hilt and saying the guy was lucky he didn't get worse.

But he didn't. He kicked him when he was on the floor and whose danger was negligible. It's not self-defence or reasonable force, it's potentially lethal retribution by a person who will have been heavily trained to know better.

I have just seen that Two of the people arrested at the recent unrest in Southampton have been jailed already for violent disorder. Took all of a week to go from arrest to jail. Plenty of similarities in the crime that took place, both on camera, both involved the police but that's where the similarity ends.

They plead guilty which is why it was fast tracked. Been interesting to see what would have happened if they'd gone not guilty. Usually you get a lesser sentence for guilty, but in time when the dust settles and the way juries have gone in crimes like Manchester, I think I'd take my chances even if it was all filmed. Go for the Shaggy defence of 'It wasn't me'
