All the outrage was about a Muslim getting kicked? That's a nonsense.

I am left leaning, as is my daughter, my missus, her two daughters and all of my friends (not that I have that many of them, but still).

None of them were at all outraged. They all pretty much said the same as me. A degree of sympathy with the police, as it was a very difficult situation to handle, but that the one officer had overstepped the mark.

You get extreme views on both sides of the coin, but I am totally convinced that the vast majority of people who you would describe as left, would have a very reasoned approach to the incident.

I think what fires it up more is not normal every day posters on forums etc but when you see MPs fighting to get to visit the family first and make statements because of the bandwagon.

It's all the "look at me, I'm so caring" fake shit and now they look silly because everybody can see what they were caring about.

Of course me, you and other posters will agree on some things, not others but at the end of the day that's it and most of us go into another thread and post about that.

When its MPs and the media completely spinning things all day every day it's dangerous. Same as getting hate mobs outside police stations defending those cunts.

Thing I hated most about the Mail was that yep, it's a tabloid but has pretensions to be more than that when it really isn't.

Fucking baffling that wanting to wait for more than a short video clip before coming to a solid conclusion is attracting criticism on here.

There's plenty more to be made known about this story and i really hope whatever investigations go ahead result in it being made known. I'd be amazed if there weren't charges of some sort on both sides.

Would be interesting to know exactly what led to the police being involved. Appreciate there was an incident on the plane and further rows in the terminal but it takes two to tango. What's the story from the people they had the spat with.

This new video doesn't change anything though does it?

Every normal person agreed that wether they deserved it or not a copper cannot just boot someone in the head when they are defenceless.

The fact they r Muslim is just something that racists care about. They wanted the copper to be in the right from the get go because he was fighting their enemy etc

To me it doesn't matter rid they white black or brown. They r clearly pricks. Should clearly be punished. BUT the copper was and still is in the wrong and should also be punished.

Once again I have to ask why can't most people just be normal? On this thread there are only a few posters who i would class as normal and not having a emotional or tribal reaction to this incident.

I think the wider concern, mine anyway, was that the lawyer and some in the Muslim community, certainly in the north, we’re trying to suggest the actions of the police were racially motivated and tried to stir up trouble on the back of it.

The release of the latest video doesn’t necessarily totally absolve the police of that (nobody knows what was said prior to it all kicking off or what had happened in the other incidents) but it does show how severely provoked the police were and they weren’t just going round looking to give any Muslims a good kicking

I doubt that the police reaction would have been any different if their assailants had been white. It was OTT but it wasn’t necessarily racist.

I’d still suggest it’s mainly limited to a select few and definitely is made more than it is by chronically online people. Most of us just crack on.

My worry is when the kids at school talk about racial events and you can tell they are repeating what their parents say at home.
