What’s so frustrating is first ten minutes or so we really passed the ball well and with purpose, then just looked like pub players. Confidence is so fragile.

He is never getting in their first team next season, he has been poor for sometime now.
If he can't get in their championship squad he hasn't got a cat in hells chance of being involved in the premier league, even if he's got all 3 of his eyes on it.

They all are
Looks like a few have lost it since the start of the season, at least we had a battle in us
Hamer head gone
Dabo different player
McCallum eye on Norwich
Defensively the step up in quality has been too much
We have missed Kelly
O’hare is a trier and deserves his place in a side lacking confidence
And we need but can’t afford a Keeper and striker
....And our passing has gone backwards

Another good save from Wilson again to balance things out a bit,,,

I didn’t watch the second half. If Wilson had a good second half, good for him. But, after being liable for both goals in the first half, what’s the point in producing a good second half?

(Obviously GD, but you know what I mean)

How many times have we actually tried to get back into a game when losing? Even without a sending off.

Off the top of my head we've come back from behind to get a result on at least 5 occasions. There are others where we've come from behind only to still lose eventually.

Are we really anywhere other than we were expecting to be? we were never going to be top half and expecting to br fighting to stay up, well surprise, surprise that's exactly what we are doing.

For me it's not about being shocked or disappointed with where we are, because staying up would be a massive achievement. It's how we've ended up where we are that frustrates.

Most of the goals we concede are gifts. But, we don't seem to learn from them. That's what annoys me more than anything. Add to that that we struggle to score, it magnifies every goal we gift.

It’s frightening. If we stay up the squad needs a major overhaul.

We won’t be able to get away with being this shit next season if Hull, Sunderland and someone like Ipswich or Pompey come up.

Have you watched any of them play? They'd all have less points than Wycombe with their current teams.

I just think they will all have the budget to put a championship squad together, more so than we do. Let’s be honest, we’ve been very lucky Wednesday had a points deduction and Wycombe came up.

Agree with most of this. I know you’re not openly criticising Dabo, but feel he (like Rose) has had a couple injuries that have never allowed him a proper run of games to get him in good form.
Accept your point about Hamer. He’s not been as good in the last two months, but still merits his place, and I’m desperate to keep.

I know I’ll cop flack for this, but Kelly was poor tonight. When he came back in the squad after being injured in the Wycombe game, he showed he brought us balance and game management. I think Matty James can bring more to the team overall. Kelly’s wise and experienced head is very useful in a young squad. He doesn’t have enough skill for me. Worth keeping but not an obvious starter next year.

Sunderland yes, the others not so much

Wed still be 4 clear of Wednesday with all their points back too

Hamer needs dropping for Saturday

He was very quiet today, although I wonder if he, Kelly and James try to occupy too many similar areas (or did do today). Luton went long early a lot today - particularly down the line, and a lot of what Hamer normally does is snapping around the midfield and nipping in for interceptions. The game seemed to pass him by as a result.

It's yet another game settled on the basis that we miss some sitters then defend like drunken amateurs. It's the same every time and even seems to happen at the exact same times in each defeat. If Biamou misses a 1 v 1 after 10 minutes we're fucked

We really are relying on being just a little less shite than 3 other teams as we don’t look like putting any run together. No real harm done tonight table wise but we look a poor side. Still relatively confident of scraping through, a win on Saturday would be a huge step to the points we need but it’s difficult to be convinced it will happen

He has been this way for a good 6 weeks, a passenger at best and routinely gifting the ball away at worst.

they really wouldn’t

I have watched a lot of Pompey and Sunderland games. Portsmouth are awful - absolutely dreadful. Sunderland would be able to buy players, but their current team are not as good as Wycombe. They have 2 lads on loan (Jones and Sanderson, who are decent) plus McGeady and Wyke. Burge is in goal for them, and I am confident that Wycombe would beat them.

I agree. However the promotion itself would allow Pompey / Sunderland or any other team to invest more in the team and attract better loan players. Therefore although Wycombe are likely to be better now, had other teams been promoted instead of them- they would probably be better than Wycombe are now.

Agree on Kelly, there certainly isn't room for him and James. James was very poor tonight but is more enterprising.

No one is praising biamou after that. Unlucky with the first one, poor with the second and blocked with the third. He could have been a hero again tonight.

He’s utter rubbish and we should just tell him to go. He’s actually harming the club with fans odd obsession with him. He’s totally out his depth - tonight he was an embarrassment
