Yeah Pask is possibly even more crucial to go out, in his correct position

I’d like us to have 5 CBS to choose from. You’re only a game like Barnsley’s last league match from losing two out of three. So keep whichever out of Pask and Drysdale looks closer to the first team. That said Sheaf and Dacosta can both fill in there...

Doesn’t his contract expire soon? From his point of view he’s more to likely to get an extension if he has a good spell in League 1 than if he plays 3 games here. Also not really a youngster anymore. Giles and McCallum 20, Ostigard 20 in the defence

Pask? He’s contracted until 2022. Drysdale 2023

From the outside he’s one of the only players in the squad I can’t see a plan for. He is only going to be used if there’s a sudden injury crisis. Fine by us but probably not him at 22 year old. With Drysdale and Eccles it’s a loan to a L1/L2 club get 40 games under your belt and we’ll evaluate the end of the season.

One of the problems of success is players brought in aren’t good enough. Maybe Pask is in that category

Maybe. It’s not an age/inexperience thing as we’ve had two 20 year olds play in defence this season.

I would just like to see him play somewhere if we have plans for him. Once Da Costa is back it’s hard to see him making the bench which puts him into the 23s...the same he was playing three years ago at West Ham.

Why is it hard to see him making the bench once Dacosta is back? We've seen almost nothing of Dacosta thus far so we've no idea how good he is? Or is it purely he'll get the spot on the bench because he's dedicated FB cover? Although I think it's more likely McCallum will take that spot.

With four CB it probably will be hard for him to make the bench but we've hardly seen anything of him in that position at all. If we played any of the other CB's at RWB they'd be a lot worse. Pask seems to be suffering due to his versatility, something we've seen before.

Well done Eccles. Two starts, two full games, two wins. Potential to be a great loan spell.
Before he went there, Gillingham were my tip to be a surprise packet in that division. Lost a couple of midfielders to injury, hence Eccles move, plus since signed Dominic Samuel, who looks a great capture.

Funny that 3 years ago we went away to Mansfield as underdogs and were delighted with a 1-1 draw where Evans called robins a squeaky, now were loaning him our youngsters to develop for us.

They had 29% possession on Saturday but won 2-0. It’s not a fit in club ethos but perhaps Robins thinks both are sound footballers but need toughening up.

Really pleased to see Josh doing well. This is just what he needs. If he has a good year there's a good chance he'll be in and around the first team next year.

Robins has high hopes for him. A good season in L1 along with Drysdale will put them in a very good position to be future stars for us.

Drysdale starting tonight in efl trophy against Ipswich. Eccles on bench. League priority for Gillingham obv but if DD does well tonight I imagine he's starting their next league game
