Again spectacularly and intentionally missing the point.

My post was in reference to Pete's on page 1 'Always the brits'. He was trying to be funny about the racists on X or other SM. Not only was it not the time only a couple of hours after the incident, but the fact that someone can revel in the fact it's not someone of the ethnicity that will bait the mouth frothers, is nothing to celebrate or try to win a few likes from. Imo it was ill-judged and unnecessary. Agree it's not all 'thoughts and prayers' and I think you've seen enough of my posting history to know that's not me either, but there is a balance about respect and I deemed his post provoking.

Does so many points being missed ever make you wonder about the lack of clarity with which points are being made? Is that the readers fault or the authors?

Make a point poorly and you will wil have a reasonable chance of getting a less than perfect respose, giving an opportunity to rip in to the responder. Do feelings of superiority follow?

I don't think he got in the car that day with the intention of mowing people down like some attacks we have seen.

But once he was amongst the crowd he clearly lost it and was intent on running people over, it doesn't look like panic to me.

Less likely to panic with an SA80 / L85A3 next to you though, to be fair.

Has he been in the news again recently like the last fortnight, some strange claims about this immediately after like snipers on roofs etc, forces background?

Judge has passed sentence. Long and short of it is that the idea he had PTSD or was scared of the crowd has been completely dismissed by the judge, "demonstrably untrue", who concluded he simply lost his temper and it was a deliberate act, "you lost your temper in a rage, determined to force your way through the crowd regardless of the consequences".

Previous convictions not taken into consideration as they were 30 years ago but the judge also pretty much dismissed any impact on testimony to his previous good character and also his guilty plea as it should have been sooner.

Convicted of 31 offences and sentenced to 21.5 years in prison.

I'm guessing 21.5 years will be drastically reduced on appeal. Hope not...

He’ll serve just shy of 10
What a knob just cause he couldn’t control his temper
No, the judge decreed that he must serve two-thirds of his sentence (13.5 years) in custody. If the dickhead had turned his dashcam off, it might not have appeared so bad, but he was heard raging and swearing at the crowds for being held-up!
The bloke's a c*nt! All this crap about him being an ex-serviceman deserving some respect and sympathy was utter bollox - he was thrown out!

It won’t be in the news but I wonder what provision overrides the 40% or 50 % as way serving of the sentence
