So Lampard likes to either play two holding players (Grimes and Sheaf) with Rudoni in front (often away) or 1 holding (Grimes) with two in front (Rudoni + Torp/Sheaf). Allen and Eccles are now impact subs and not really key starters. It does not take much to see why Travis would come in, to sit alongside Grimes when we play two holding midfielders, both of whom like to break forward whilst the other one stays back.
