I don’t think he played that much for Ipswich during that season - Ive only ever seen him play for Blackburn!

I thought all players had legs ?We need someone with legs as at times we're a one man midfield with Grimes playing in the back 3 and Rudoni floating all over the place. The one left has to be able to cover the ground. Travis is a good footballer as well as a mobile shithouse. I'd be happy with him coming in.
Great signing should Sheaf ever get injured
So Lampard likes to either play two holding players (Grimes and Sheaf) with Rudoni in front (often away) or 1 holding (Grimes) with two in front (Rudoni + Torp/Sheaf). Allen and Eccles are now impact subs and not really key starters. It does not take much to see why Travis would come in, to sit alongside Grimes when we play two holding midfielders, both of whom like to break forward whilst the other one stays back. He is also cover for Grimes who is key. This makes loads of sense as a buy, good price, good age, good experience and good fit.
