Leicester points deduction (5 Viewers)

You can't just look at one player being sold at a massively overvalued price and say that's ok if the buying club wants to pay it. If the buying club then sells another massively overpriced player back to the selling club, would that become the subject of an anti money laundering investigation? I don't know but I suspect it could under certain circumstances.
There is a big purge going on ATM in football regarding money laundering.
They should get the City of London for that lol

It’s clearly an exploit. But you can’t attach an abitrary 3rd opinion as to whether teams have overpaid.

a player is worth what another team wishes to pay.

ultimately the only way I believe you can stop it is not amortising players value over the contract - if you buy a player for 20m it’s 20m on the balance sheet for that year. Even that I don’t think is possible

With less than a week left before the start of the season are the EFL going to announce a points deduction, or are those Leicester cheats going to escape punishment yet again?

A strange, hateful few on here seemed happy at the idea of Sheff Weds going under.
You reap what you sew. They were an absolute disgrace when we played them and we weren't the only side.

I always have sympathy for supporters in this situation. But there's only Leicester I have less sympathy for.

Yeah, sound then, they should totally go under because a minute fraction of their fans are bell ends.

Absolute nonsense.

Doesn’t really answer the question.
Doesn't answer what question?

Hull and QPR haven't broken or taken the piss out of the rules for 25 years. They have been stupid with their money. I have full sympathy with those who didn't have anything to do with what happened like the supporters.

I remember last season when people wanted us to spend like Hull. Those of us that disagreed were taken for idiots. It's easy for supporters to get carried away. We did many years ago which led to our downfall.

The two clubs mentioned were completely random, not because of high spending. The point is many only seem bothered because it’s a club we’re all apparently obliged to hate. If it was Middlesbrough or Swansea or Doncaster or Leyton Orient, there wouldn’t be so much noise.

With Leicester most people want to see justice. With Sheffield Wednesday it was because of their knuckle dragging racists and then how much their other supporters tried to defend it or say it didn't happen. Many even tried to say it was our players fault.

Bristol City broke the rules for years

Silly me not wanting them to go out of business, what a horrible person.
They'll only go into admin anyway and someone will buy them at a knock down price. That's what should have happened to us , but good ole SISU got that smirking fucker, Appleton, as Administrator and used him to buy us back with a different name.
Those northen fuckers were happy to stand back and let it happen, along with several other sides, especially look on the Scumderland boards, even the twats who were chanting 'we want SISU in' so yeah fuck 'em all!!
I'll have my own opinions thank you

They shouldn’t go under but a decade scraping round the lower leagues like we had wouldn’t go amiss. Maybe teach them some humility.

If that’s Karma, then I guess it explains our 15 years of absolute misery.

Serves me right for supporting a club that has a handful of bellends in its fanbase

Which northern fuckers were happy to stand back and let it happen ? Too many sweeping generalisations in this outpouring of hatred.
