Hats off - considering he hasn’t kicked a ball all season… a fantastic performance
Haha yeah he did this about 3 times I recall!I wish he didn't boot the ball straight up in the air so much though.
Woolf hasn’t suddenly stopped being a good Championship CB, just needs more minutes to sharpen up.Did well today , so did wolf which was a bigger positive for me
I thought Brau was very good when he came on, defensively occasionally out of position, but to be fair we were playing a 5 so he probably had more licence to move forwardIf we go back to before the season started we had a list of players that were not supposed to be good enough. So far not a single one of them has let us down. Even Brau played his part today not giving them a second on the ball and getting stuck in.
No more out of position than Jay is most weeks tbfI thought Brau was very good when he came on, defensively occasionally out of position, but to be fair we were playing a 5 so he probably had more licence to move forward
Some of the pregame comments re Lati (and Wolf) in the match thread were unbelievable.
Anyone would have thought we'd brought them in from the Dog & Duck stiffs, rather than being a pair of experienced professionals....
Both played really well in a difficult game. Shows the strength and unity in the squad in my opinion.
It's good that players coming into the side this season have all did well and not let us down. They come in and slot into the system really well. They know their roles, know the formation & tactics and slot in seamlessly. Big credit to Latibeaudiere and Woolfenden on Saturday and the subs that came on tooIf we go back to before the season started we had a list of players that were not supposed to be good enough. That second half was ideal for both Lats and Woolfy, neither had to leave the penalty box, so they were never going to be caught out for a lack of pace or mobility.I am sure there was many who feared the Southampton game including me, but he did well considering he hasn't played any first team minutes at all this season. Spoke well after the match too! Hats off to Wolf aswell, he had a great game too.
We played Armstrong out of the game. Hardly noticed he was on the pitch. That second half was ideal for both Lats and Woolfy, neither had to leave the penalty box, so they were never going to be caught out for a lack of pace or mobility.
Also Southampton didn't have much of a aerial threat, so didn't cause us to much trouble other than set pieces.
Things might of been different if they had Adam Armstrong running at them from 30 yards out.
Having said that, they did everything asked of them excellently.
He had a glorious chance first half and really should of scored. We played Armstrong out of the game. Hardly noticed he was on the pitch.
