Could have turned out nasty that!
Could have turned out nasty that!
I'm now looking at the defenders baggy shirt and wondering if Haji had a hold of it?View attachment 48475
This is the contact that leads to Haji going down. It's only then his leg goes underneath whilst the other guy comes down too
For me it's soft. Opinions though
not your cousin againMy cousin watched on sky and said it was more of a pen than the wright one?
He stops him getting to the ball so has to be a penalty same as EMC one same defender.Could have turned out nasty that!
All of them get given anywhere else on the pitch. It's not bias against us - I'm convinced a lot of refs just freeze in that instance, and, once that split second has passed, they don't allow themselves to reset and award the obvious. It would be really interesting to have a device affixed to them, to monitor whether their heartbeat/stress levels go haywire in those moments. Convinced that's what causes the non-decisions.They were both stonewallers
Same as at Southampton, same as at the scabby bastards, same as against Ipswich, same as against Charlton
When is something going to be done about the incompetence?
The one on EMC absolutely should have been a penalty, and probably a red card as there was no real attempt to play the ball.
I wasn't convinced on Saturday, or after watching it again on TV, that the one on Wright was. But on the City Unseen video the club's own camera angle makes it look like the defender brings him down by bringing his arm across Haji's legs as he fell. So again, penalty and a red card.
Some going for one player.
The Wright one I can understand why it's not given as Okoli goes to floor under contact & from the Ref's position it seems like just a coming together with both going to ground.
The EMC one is a stonewall penalty, Okoli beaten all ends up throws himself into EMC's legs. Penalty & red card.
You're absolutely right to bring up the fact it was Okoli both times, it's actually a trait to his defending. Watch the Unseen back & he tried to do the same thing to EMC in the first half as well.
I think it was him who rugby tackled Simms in the 1st half as well. The Wright one I can understand why it's not given as Okoli goes to floor under contact & from the Ref's position it seems like just a coming together with both going to ground.
