Last Penalty Given

Think you could see the argument against that Haji decision.
I thought you could argue EMC might not have got to the ball. Think he would have and was a pen. I don’t see what the argument is against Haji’s?

I had the talksport comms on, they said both of them were pens

EMC I think would be that the ball would have, weird logic from the officials,aHaji definitely possible but again not with current official dictums.

Both should've been given , like the many others recently

I think you’ve probably got a point here. Also us being absolute twats every time there’s a corner probably doesn’t endear us on the refs WhatsApp
This.... I mean why piss off the officials with childish bollocks

What’s the argument against Haji’s though?

Think at some point you have to stop analysing individual incidents and look at the overall pattern.

We're top of the league with 59 goals. That would indicate we spend a fair bit of time in the opposition penalty box. Even on the law of averages we should be getting penalties.

The excuse that's often given by former refs for the 'big' premier league clubs getting more pens is exactly that, they spend more time in the opposition box.

Just watching the Brighton vs Bournemouth game on Sky. If we do get promoted, I can’t wait to see how many penalties we get next season via VAR.

Saw Haji one back todaym defo not a pen. But good to keep pressure on refs by bringing it up

Even if you think our shouts are 50/50s and we’ve had 10 of them then the likelihood of us not having a pen from them is 1,024 to 1

Brighton game.

Ref instinct no pen, VAR gets involved ref cant give any other decisions. Contact but not a foul..

Not sure what GKs or defenders are supposed to do. And no point in refs on the field to be honest, they are overruled then told what the decision is. But stay and get shit of thousands and be the face and be the fall guy for the decision.

Players love it laughing about cheating..

If the Brighton is a pen..

Then Charlton H, Southampton A, Nor H, Bir A, 3 Ips H, Leicester 2 h are all pens.

I don't think we should fixate on these decisions and victimize ourselves. Play to the whistle and concentrate on the job in hand.

At the end of the season I'm all for putting together a compilation and sending it to the EFL and touting it to all the big media outlets 😂

He was on way down before contact made iirc

It would have been soft

For someone who likes strong challenges you change ya mind quickly if it's on a cov player lol
He's not on his way down, it's absolutely stonewall.

Stop talking utter shite.

It's in here from the angle Nick posted a picture from and he's not going down until the defender roles on his leg

No contact but the contact was on his way down?

They weren't strong challenges or tackles? He literally just dived at the players feet.

He was going down because of this.

Then just to make sure, he gets pulled down

Let's face it. That's red card for the pull down with no intention to get the ball.

This is the contact that leads to Haji going down. It's only then his leg goes underneath whilst the other guy comes down too

For me it's soft. Opinions though

Ugh, this brought up PTSD from when I calculated the odds of losing 4 coin tosses in a row to be 6%. But we still lost them. Giving us, statistically, a 20% chance of winning a penalty shootout against Luton and Man United 😫😅

So if that's the contact that leads to wright going down, why's he still in about the same position when the other bloke is taking out his trailing leg by diving into him? It's in the first image I posted.

I haven't seen the emc one back

My cousin watched on sky and said it was more of a pen than the wright one?
The one on EMC absolutely should have been a penalty, and probably a red card as there was no real attempt to play the ball.

I wasn't convinced on Saturday, or after watching it again on TV, that the one on Wright was. But on the City Unseen video the club's own camera angle makes it look like the defender brings him down by bringing his arm across Haji's legs as he fell. So again, penalty and a red card.

Some going for one player.
