I'm not disagreeing with your point about on the non playing side, but he didn't say that.
I said who has done more for the club.
Name who has done more.
Maybe Robins for a period. No one else comes close.
My comment is aimed at the posters who “diss” him or have an anti agenda.
Maybe it’s for “likes” or to create controversy.
I don’t deal in that childish shit
Give the guy some respect. He has invested heavily and will invest more !!

Maybe Robins?! Fucking hell!
And you've got the nerve to talk about disrespect!

We were on our way to L2 when he walked in the door.
We were re-established as a Championship side when King did.

Better than previous owners, I'd agree, ( though Richardson and sisu also had smoke blow-up their arses for a while), but no way has he done more than Robins and Viveash.

Robins done more
Kelly did more
Mcfadz
Godden

all these players and managers took us to the next level.

Bling was very fortunate to invest a squad with £40m worth in 2 players. Yes he’s done OK reallocating it so far, but to say he’s done more for us than some of those names is pretty ridiculous

king won the lottery when he took over

he came in and within 6 months had a team at Wembley and joined on an upward curve

During that summer got over 30mill in player sales

yes we are in a much better place off the pitch with the investment but that’s down to Robins and co who built the foundations in which made it possible to recoup 30 mill to invest

we haven’t made the next level with him yet and that’s what he will be judged on

let’s hope this season is ours

The scepticism and lack of respect shown by some is deliberately provocative , searching for a reaction . Just childish in my opinion .
As regards King the signs so far have been encouraging . He appears to be running the club on a sound footing but the proof is in taking it to the next level.
It’s hardly a lack of respect is it. We went completely the opposite way the first 6 months singing that ridiculous song

I and many others never sang that song. There is a lack of respect from a couple of posters on here who immediately spring to mind.
It is irrelevant though really. He is the owner, and won’t be concerned with comments on his multi million pound investment.

I sang the song, anything that builds the atmosphere is good for the club and the players, however cringeworthy, but ... whilst I'm not against him and have no agenda, let's not pretend we're all in it together. He's a businessman, not a fan, and that's fair enough. His job is to maximise revenue and profit, but the flip side is that we need to be treated like loyal customers and not cattle or even cash cows. Taking advantage whilst things are positive he might get away with, but it's very short term thinking and looks like he's not in for the long haul, but to get promoted and turn a quick buck. Although if he leaves us in the Premiership, I certainly won't be complaining.

I’ve followed city for 50 years and in the last 25 years only Robins / Viveash have done more for the trajectory of the club. Fadz, Goddeb et al have played their part in our rise but they have not transformed the ambition of the club. King has.
So he’s transformed the ambition right!

The likes of Godden, Fadz, Kelly turned our ambition to get out of league one, under shite owners, away from home into reality.

King has achieved NOTHING yet.

Should be more respect for our chairman.
All this “bling” nonsense.
Doug King has done more to move our club forwards than anyone in the last 12 years or more.
Met him once after Blackburn away last season very approachable thanked him for what he's doing by saving our club

We have King because of Robins. I would say owners are generally the single most important individual at a club, Robins or no Robins, SISU stay and we start slipping down down down again. They were a cancer. Kings been an excellent owner so far, let's hope him, Lampard and co can lead us to the promised land.

This is just plain stupid.

Some people on here just show disrespect to everyone. There's no need for it. No single person alone got us back to where we are now. What Robins did for us was heroic with what he was given. But it wouldn't have been possible without certain players that grew with us.

King has been better than we could have hoped for. He hasn't asset stripped and kept the money like he could have done. He has continued to put money in each season for running costs so we can keep this squad together and continue to improve it. He brought in Lampard and his team when the cheaper option would have been to keep Robins. He paid £3.5m on Grimes when he didn't fit 'the model' and we won't see a penny of it back. Yet on here so much disrespect is shown to him. Some people must have very short memories. How about comparing him to SISU?

Please get it right. Vik and Hamer paid for Grimes

king has improved us off the pitch but he came in at a time of an upward curve

we will never know but I wonder how he would have been taken if no Wembley that season, no 30 mill for Hamer and Vik etc

the guy won the lottery by getting us cheap. he’s not spent an awful amount on the club

He took an opportunity and has made us a better club. Theres no denying that. Eventually he will get to the point where he needs to sell or get additional investment but for now we cant really argue with where we are.
