Reckon he’ll fill in while Dabo is injured then move to the left.

Exciting now we don’t know any more signings. AM, CB, DM and ST to go by my reckoning.

Perhaps I’m reading into this too much, but the emphasis on him being able to play left back is interesting.

Have we ever had our transfers predicted so accurately so far?

The stories about Hamer and DaCosta broke before we were confirmed champions, right?

Good to get another signing through the door early. Dabo had a great season and he can’t let off this year. Some competition for him is good to push him. Also versatile at the back is good for the squad.

Mason
McFadz
Rose
Hyam
Pask
Dabo
Dacosta

Suspect another CB and LB to come.

Depending on how adaptable Da Costa is regarding left back, then I would be comfortable with Mason, Da Costa. We still have that youngster Newton who tackles like a train (Nick will love him) - interesting to see how he develops on the ball. At a push, I still think Shippers can fill in at that position. Therefore with a tight budget, unless it is an attacking wing back, I'd leave it at that.

Good to see the club doing business early.

Hard to think that Dacosta would be anything other than a squad player at this time given his playing history so far. It is a big step up from the bottom of French League 2 to our Championship, so its a difficult ask for him but you never know. I would have thought the same about Sam McCallum and we know how well he turned out. Welcome & good luck to him

Think he might be playing against us next year.

He definitely will be, no way Norwich are staying up. I think them and Bournemouth are doomed and then between the villa and Watford for the last place, hopefully for purely selfish reasons and the games against them I hope it's the villa

Anyone else a little concerned that the scarf says 'Coventry FC'?
When Hamer used it in the photo op, i kind of see how that could have been overlooked, but Dacosta has the same one round is neck and in this day and age it's just something i would think someone would have picked up on?

I think you need to go and have a walk mate, and then set fire to your tin hat

Pleased the business is being done early.
I would have thought he would be more than just a back-up / squad player, having played 80+ games in 3 years. Is the bottom of French second division much worse than the bottom of championship (where we will probably be competing next year). I've no idea of relative strengths between England and France league two, but most of our squad were in the third division (old school!) last year!
Anyway, good news that we've got a second player in early that we've clearly been tracking for a while.

Leicester signed Mahrez from the French Ligue 2, and his statistics as in goals / assists weren't standout. So basically, we've signed the next Thuram.

You and Jim Brown on Twitter. Club replied to say something to the effect of “it’s just a scarf”
