I do too but a club like Hull possibly on their way to the premiership and the big wages that come with it could be a lure.

He is a class act in this division, but he's stayed this long and the majority of his tenure has been during the clubs darkest days.

Fleck has stayed loyal during this period for some strange reason and now on the cusp of reaping the rewards. If we don't go up he will have his choice of suitors. Enjoying playing under TM more than any other manager. Money does talk at the end of the day. As Mowbray always says 'let's wait and see'.

Influx of midfielders? We've signed one permanent and 1 till the end of January. That's 2. Which makes 4 central midfielders in the squad excluding Thomas who's injured. That's pretty normal for any squad especially one that's challenging for promotion. All good transfer rumours come from the casino though tbf

Depends if he works at the casino.

Not exactly a rumour is it? Whether he's off or not has been banded about for over a month-ish; personally, I've thought it somewhat inevitable. Especially now that TM has drafted in more midfielders than he 'technically' needs.

My only hope is that the rumours and the logical conjecture is wrong, 'cos he will leave an irreplaceable void in that midfield.

Anyone brave enough to suggest a fee for him, should he be going? Personally, and realistically, I'd say anything around the £800k/£900k mark would be somewhat acceptable. Although, if I had my way, I'd slap a £3mil price tag on him.

True but I'm sure it's normally the canteen at work.

I obviously hope it's not true as fleck is vital to this team but the facts are he is out of contract in the summer and if 250-500k comes in for him then it's too good to turn down. Especially if it's used to strengthen promotion.

He is out of contract and Hull are currently considereal a bigger club. If he won't sign a contract, sell him.

Regardless of his true worth, the reality is he is worth no more than double the remaining salary on his contract. £300k max.

We have obviously offered him a new contract. I suspect he wants to play at a higher level, either with us (ideally) or someone else. However, given that he won't sign a new contract it may force our hand. Take a small fee now and use that to fund other signings, or gamble and potentially end up with nothing. It's a very tricky one for Mowbray I am sure.

There are plenty of players out there that seem to be interested in coming to us, like Hunt, so I have no doubt that whatever happens Mowbray will get us good value in return if he does happen to leave.

If it's money vs losing him on a free, the club will take the money.

Some fans will complain either way though.

Have we definitely offered him a contract, or is that conjecture?

Player of the season so far. Really hope he stays, but he deserves a move to a bigger club.

To my reckoning we have recently signed Rose, Cole, Hunt on permanent deals, Bigiriamma a possibility and we have Maddison back fighting fit, Lamieras, Murphy JOB and Vincelot as well as looking at this Elson Hooi too that's a lot of bodies

With him being out of contract in the summer id imagine he would want to stay till the end of the season then take his pick of clubs on a free.

Hunt is until end of January, although I would expect that to be extended once he can really prove he has the fitness. I see him being used as a full back to be honest. Bigi and Rose offer the lacking backup to Fleck and Vincelot.

People might be interested in Fleck, but him and Vincelot are natural players to build a team around. I think we will struggle to keep Maddison in the summer. However if Fleck brought some money in TM might feel he could utilise it to strengthen further. I think Fleck will stay this January. Cole only offers a short term option this season and maybe next?

TM was asked about Fleck situation and we got the standard "we are working on it" response.

Lets put it another way, if we came out and said "we haven't offer Fleck a new contract" there would be an absolute uproar. Given that the only conclusions we can draw are that he has been offered terms that he is taking under consideration...

His performances are not of the Clarke/Moussa irk where they were playing it safe so as things stand as long as he gives 100% for us as he has been I wish him all the best if he ends up leaving.

If Jonjo Shelvey is worth £12 million, as is being widely reported as the sum for him to move from Swansea to Newcastle, SURELY Fleck is worth more than the £500K some of you are suggesting, even if he is unproven at any higher level.

With all the hype that was around Fleck when he was younger, you would understand if he got too big for his boots playing for us during the last couple of years. But he has never given that impression and if he does move on I would wish him well.
