Striker maybe, not a target man.

Have you seen him try and win a header?
Erm, he's only played 2 or 3 games for us hasn't he and always been a little deeper.

Don't think I have seen a ball near his head.

Bakayoko, hiwula, bright, chaplin, ponti... Suppose it could work.

There is also Bremang who maybe he feels is ready for a few minutes of the bench as well as Ponti, which is where JCH has been recently. Bit of a risk.

Anyway, who's MR going to bring on after 64mins if he goes?

I dont think Bremang is a target man is he? Think he is a bit smaller but fairly stocky.

Probably a full back but it wont be for Chaplin and hiwula will still get pushed out left!

Tom Davies can reinvent himself as a target man. Could be effective!

In all seriousness sides don’t seem to deploy that tactic these days

Cardiff City do...i think Patterson is a centre half/forward.

Yes, just looked that up. Seems he’s a versatile player that starts up front as opposed to a central defender being utilised as a target towards the end of games

Ah right. Yeah, I guess you don’t see that much nowadays. I’m sure I was at a game (palace away?) where Callum davenport did just that. Possibly the same game bothroyd scored a wonder goal...

Absolute pisstake, definitely not the worst of our bunch of strikers. We surely must have a direct replacement coming in

As much as JCH isn't huge, he's the only one of our strikers with a little bit of presence. Would be concerned if we let him go without bringing someone else in.

Come on, the lad is shite

JCH offers something different but is very inconsistent

MR was hinting at playing JCH and Baka up front together soon but if a reasonable bid has come in for him then it's no great loss.

I think Baka has a lot of potential

Did Ched Evans leave Fleetwood in the end?
Not sure. Was due out to Sunderland but they've signed Will Grigg. If Evans was the back up plan don't know how that affects this deal.

You might be right - I've no idea how tall he is - but he is fairly stocky and if we want a striker to hold the ball up maybe he's seen enough in U23 to think he can free up JCH's wages? Inexperience does count against him though.

Maybe JCH isn't happy being on the bench and has asked to leave so MR is happy to let him. We did let him go as a youngster due to uncertainties about his character if I recall.

However, if he stay he has to have squad no. 64 next season.

I’ve never been a fan of JCH and I don’t think he’ll be a loss. However, my slight worry is the lack of a physical striker if he does go.

I wouldn’t call him a traditional target man as he doesn’t hold it up enough, but he does/did at least give us a different option from the bench. Granted four times out of five he’d do absolutely nothing when he did get on, but he still offered something different to our other strikers.

Either MR is embracing total football or he’s got someone else lined up.

Overall I won’t be sorry to see him go as he’s a poor footballer the majority of the time. He has shown glimpses of talent, but nowhere near enough and he actually detracts from our style of play. How we have missed Biamou!

Permanent.

I did hear we didn't really want him but had agreed to sign him. Not sure how true it was but guess we cant have wanted him that much
