His Aunty died yesterday. May explain things.
Although today was one of his better games, I still don't think JCH has got many goals in him. He is never in goalscoring position , in fact he is rarely in the 18 yard box at all. I think if he played every game this season, he won't score more than 6 or 7.
What does he bring to the team that MR can see and I can't? I accept MR knows far more about football than I do, but I'm not sure what JCH brings to the party. Although Biamou has his critics, I reckon JCH is less effective. Do we need someone else to play alongside Chaplin now that Max is out for the forseeable??

The fact you criticise Clarke Harris for not being in the penalty area when Biamou scored three times in the 18 yard area in nearly 50 appearances (and only made 3 assists) is beyond embarrassing
Biamous injury may well save the season for us. Clarke Harris is light years ahead of him even on a bad day
ok, so you are obviously counting coming on as sub in Max's 49 appearances last season, and you are saying 3 of his 9 goals were in the box. I can't remember them all so I'll take your word on that. The fact you criticise Clarke Harris for not being in the penalty area when Biamou scored three times in the 18 yard area in nearly 50 appearances (and only made 3 assists) is beyond embarrassing

By the same token, JCH made 22 appearances last season and scored 4, one of which was a penalty. As for the other 3, I remember 2 were in the box (can't remember the other). This season he is 0 from 5 appearances. In what way is he 'light years' ahead of MB? So , no, I'm not really feeling 'embarrassed'.
Cheers STP. Forgot that one.Clarke Harris scored against Gillingham
You're right actually. Neither contribute enough, which brings us back to my question about do we need someone else to partner Chaplin? This is like arguing who is the best bloke singer in steps

I think potentially he is better but has rarely shown it. He was great for a couple of months when first here on loanThe fact you criticise Clarke Harris for not being in the penalty area when Biamou scored three times in the 18 yard area in nearly 50 appearances (and only made 3 assists) is beyond embarrassing

This surely isn't the day to question what he offers the team, he was instrumental today.

I’m going to put a cat amongst the pigeons and say in time Bakayoko will be the partner to Chaplin, he has pace to burn and between them will stretch defences, just give it time.
Bakayoko has pace to burn .
Grendel likes this post!JCH should have had two against Gillingham and two against Rochdale last weekend. I actually think Biamou getting injured is a huge blessing in disguise as Robins will likely have to play JCH every game.
Cody McDonald klaxon
You can't like both JCH AND Max. How long have you been on this forum ?!?!JCH was excellent today. He was great at leading the line. He worked hard and if Thomas had a right foot would have had an open goal to tap in to. I didn’t think JCH was the type of player that could do what he did today...despite his size. Bodes well.
I also like max Biamou!
Started poorly. But improved as the game went on. Very important that he holds it up and wins us crucial free kicks!
