So he’s good positionally then? And you think I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Literally no one agrees with you, yet you’re doubling down. At least have the decency to admit you were wrong about your assessment of his performance on Saturday
procdoc said:
You surely understand that if he’s high up the pitch when we are on the attack that the ball will be played into the space the full back has vacated? Each time that happened he got back and recovered. You are totally out of your depth here

Cally is laugh reacting this yet is talking completely out of his arsehole and providing zero stats to back up his utterly clueless statements. Fucking imbecile

I’ve said he had a good game. I just qualified it by saying we were playing against a team who were as inept going forward as you are likely to see. Second half we could have put bibs on them and called it a training game.

You said they specifically got in behind him 6 or 7 times. When asked to provide examples you couldn’t

Don’t know if you saw the game or not. They were in behind him multiple times. Did nothing with it so it didn’t impact us. Sheaf for Torp. Not particularly controversial even though it was talking about one instance for a particular game.

You have such an agenda against him that people are going to ignore you.
He was excellent against brum and robbed the winger and made off with the ball numerous times.

No agenda at all. My opinion is he is very poor defensively. Nothing more, nothing less. Hope he proves me completely wrong.

Yeah, some very selective memories off the back of a good 3-0 win. JDS had his best game for us - accepted. But have a look at how many times he’s tracking back after a very simple ball is played in behind him. Positionally he has no idea.

Seems like you are the only person in the ground who thought he didn’t play well Saturday.
He has been one of our best players this season up to now.
Do yourself a favour and stop commenting about him, you are making yourself look a fool.

No problem with the 6-7 times they got in behind. Pro doc invents narratives as he goes along. For example, someone saying they can’t be arsed to timestamp and relay instances from the game apparently translates to couldnt back up claims.

How have I invented a narrative when it’s exactly what you said? Have you had a head injury?

Crikey. Hard work here. Pro doc demanded i name the 7 instances they got in behind. I declined, not wanting to waste inordinate amounts of time. Therefore he has assumed I can’t name them.

Anyway, JDS is the love child of Pearce and Maldini. Let’s leave it there.

At 12.37 and 35 seconds the ball is turned over via a legal challenge approximately 39 yards from the opposition goal. The wind is light and drifting in on a slight south westerly. The home crowd, still rattled by a corner delivered by the opponent approximately two millimetres outside the corner quadrant bristle with further unease as the ball is floated simply over the Coventry full backs head into an undefended two acres of lush green turf.

Would it be an inordinate amount of wasted time considering pretty much every on here disagrees with you? Surely it'd be worth it to prove everyone wrong?

It's not like Dasilva has been a fans favourite during his time here. Loads of people have criticised his defending and especially his being caught out behind in the past. Lots said he struggled in the game before that one against Leicester. Do you think everyone's just suddenly decided as of that game they're going to just ignore poor defending by him?

The fact is it didn't happen in that game, and unless you go to the trouble of saying when those 6 or 7 times were we're going to believe you've made it up. That doesn't mean he's not been disappointing for much of his tenure up to now, or we won't think he played poorly at some point in the future, but let's not make criticism of him when it isn't warranted.

He played very well on Saturday and has been decent this season. Equally he does ball watch a lot, have poor body position when defending off the ball, so that he has no idea what’s going on behind him. More of a wing-back than full-back in my view

He has already shown you that you're completely wrong. Just about everyone that said he is a poor player have admitted to being wrong.

When you're saying one thing and everyone else is saying the total opposite there must be a very, very slight chance that you could be wrong

I genuinely cannot recall such a marked improvement in a player at the club

Not only is he technically really good, but his defensive work is also now top drawer. Long may it continue, a fantastic turnaround, what a player

He was never ever a flying left wing back. He doesnt have the physicality. But this system suits him in a 4. Technically he is very good and suit the intricate build up, you saw when Bidwell played how much more clunky it was.

Yes he struggles with balls in behind, but 1v1 hes actually very good at timing his tackles.
