Same reason we ever considered Martin Cranie, we need squad depth with only 2 first team strikers available and an untested Tavares. I too think they’re both dogshit but I don’t see any better options. Loan? I don’t see how a young untested lad that isn’t even our player would be a safe bet for rotation, why not just play Tav at that point.
