Its a shame with Allen's age (only 31). You'd think if he drops to L1/L2 hes probably got a good 5 seasons left in him. If he was already reaching 35-36 id love to see him put through his badges and bought in to the coaching team. Frank has always had a soft spot for him and talked a lot about his work rate in training. Hes not going to want to do that though whilst hes still got a good few playing years ahead of him though.

Dropped down the pecking order, which proves how much quality we now have in the squad. Agree with the OP, he always gives 100%

Yes for sure though Allen is a league one champion, with Wilson, and holds that bit more with the fans id say

I don’t think Wilson even played a game in league 1

I'm still of an opinion he deserves a new contract. If on the Off chance we do manage promotion to the Premier League, he's earned his place here time after time and I feel the earned his chance to suit up in Coventry Sky Blue at least once next season.

Lovely sentiment. Are you proposing to pay his salary ?

Pfft.
I can barely afford my own family's expenses.
I contribute my $100 odd or so with iFollow, so the club is just going to have to figure it out.

I hope they thank him, give him a good send off but we move on … this is elite sport not the dog and duck

It’s far more than an off chance and whatever league we’re in next season we’ve moved past Jamie unfortunately.

We have Legends Day for exactly this reason. Unless we’ve won the title we shouldn’t be using a minute of first team time on charity, no matter how lovely it would be.

Nah he's still good as far as i'm concerned. Obviously just sentimental and no reason to discuss the merits.

Also, I frame it in my mind that if I personally contributed to my company earning 200 millions ££ I'd be a bit ticked off if they didn't share some respect back. Obviously insurance companies are a different industry than sporting.
