Its a shame with Allen's age (only 31). You'd think if he drops to L1/L2 hes probably got a good 5 seasons left in him. If he was already reaching 35-36 id love to see him put through his badges and bought in to the coaching team. Frank has always had a soft spot for him and talked a lot about his work rate in training. Hes not going to want to do that though whilst hes still got a good few playing years ahead of him though.

Can you imagine the uproar if they need to win that for a place in the top 6 over Birmingham and we start Wilson, Bidwell and Allen. Would be beautiful.

It’s far more than an off chance and whatever league we’re in next season we’ve moved past Jamie unfortunately.
