I had a quick search. Couldn’t find anyone referring to Haynes as the new Bale and the only person I could see referring to Hussey as the new Bale was Nick but it was clearly tongue in cheek.

You didn’t try very hard it’s took 5 minutes to find the hussey one and not only that links to numerous other posters over the years recalling it and one providing another link to it.

London Evening Standard today says Spurs, Man City, Liverpool and Leicester are all interested in Madders and say his price will be 'at least £20M'
Spurs have loaned Marcus Edwards to Norwich and Pochettino recently said he's interested in taking young English players in January and maybe loaning them back to their present clubs
Interesting

The interest is certainly being ramped up last couple of days lots of news on this. Talking of selling him and loaning him back.

But not seen anywhere mentioned in the dozens of news snippets where its mentioned cov have a sell on fee.

Also on their forum alot are resigned to losing him this transfer window.

They all saying they want 20M plus a loan back.

Two more big earners out for them today.
Don't know if that means he's likely to stay or go, or with the interest he can instigate anything for his own ends?

No prizes for which poster said Maddison wasn’t good enough to be in our first team and would be ‘out of his depth’ in the Championship

Was there really someone that didn't rate him?

He has an eye for talent obviously.

Be interesting to see not how he plays but if he plays some of their fans think he will be rested I would think it would be more a case of a possible deal was on.(mind not on the job)

I always took the piss out of him for mincing about and diving and although he wasn’t great for us when he came back on loan he was clearly a brilliant player. He can go all the way.

Jerome on high wages and only scored twice in 17
Martin has literally played a handful of games this season
Naismith must be on a proper wack and hasn't played once this season

they have saved a huge amount of money and not weakened their squad much at all

Think next season is the last of Norwich’s parachute payments as well isn’t it?

What’s the state of our finances at the moment?

If we did get a £1-2m windfall would it go on costs?

That’s got to be roughly the size of our yearly wage bill.

You're forgetting TF's minder's costs - plus Hector's dog food bill. Otherwise, probably a good proportion of it.

They also sold Pritchard who was popular and developing a midfield partnership with Maddison.

It is, and Ed Balls has said that failure to achieve promotion this year will have dire financial consequences.

Unless he has a blinder tonight the close season is the best time for him to go more time to plan.

He's playing in the centre of a front 3 tonight. First time I seen him I said he'd play for England one day. Haven't changed my opinion on that yet. I think he's excellent.

I've heard we have 20% sell on. So if he goes for 20 mill plus we could be looking at 4 mill coming in with maybe 500k for transfers. Surely that would buy us James Collins with a fair bit of change for someone else.

Chelsea look like they are in training. Matter of time before they score I think unless Norwich pull something out of the bag.

It's turning into a Norwich vs Chelsea match thread.

Might do when they go up and they have to get rid to a League 2 team like seems to usually happen.
