The time for any credit has long since gone. If they wanted any, they should have done the honourable thing and left once their investment had failed.

ccfcway is right, stockholm syndrome indeed.

I was wondering only a few hours ago if their wanting to keep players and achieve something in Northampton is simply down to spite. Surely none of us think they actually care about the club?

After all the more successful a Northampton based CCFC is, the more the club doesn't need to return and the more likely (if at all) that the Council gives in to their demands.
What a massive pile of horsecrap this post is. Wondering if they want to keep players through spite? Jesus Christ how paranoid are you mate. I'm sure you'll be one of the first to moan if we sold Clarke or Wilson

I honestly wouldn't. I don't care anywhere near as much as I did about on the pitch matters.

Well why else? You don't seriously believe that what we're seeing now is anything other than a face off between two businesses trying to distress each other?

I can assure you Astute that I'm not on anyone's side, apart from ours, the fans.

SISU, ACL, the Council, the previous regimes are all at fault to some degree.

This debacle really doesn't need to be an "Us Vs Them" situation between ACL and SISU. Both parties have been a "shower of bastards" throughout all this.

You're right.. it doesnt have to be an Us v Them.. but it is... and will remain so until the charlatans that profess to run our football club bring the club home to the city that bears its name. As for etal "fault to some degree".. equal measure does not apply... I'm aghast that people still cite this. SISU are to blame more so than any other party, there is no question.

It doesn't matter where the most blame lies, all parties have had a hand in this monumental cock up, whether it's 50/50, 70/30 it really makes no difference. Both sides need to realise that it's time to talk and high time Coventry city played in the city of Coventry.

The thing is selling players doesn't always give the answers financially they want. For example selling Leon Clarke is the easy thing but most of his fee, I would think about £500k would go to Clarke to pay up his contract so the team ends up with the star turn gone, pissed off supporters reduce the paltry 1500 Sixfield Coventry group even further and we stop scoring goals.

Ok so we agree then

Well this is it, if they want to prolong this charade of distressing ACL and try and show they can successfully run a club in Northampton without them they need to retain the support of the non-NOPMrs. The only way to do that is to keep a competitive team.

well you seem keen to apportion the majority of the blame on sisu, I'm saying, everyone has had a hand in it, atm blame needs to take a back seat and everyone needs to get back round the table. The chances of this happening seem pretty slim unfortunately

Thats right I do...SISU are to blame in the most part no question.... but we agree on the fact that Coventry City in Coventry is the number one priority.

I agree that the blame game isn't going to move us forward.

I also agree that the chances of them getting around the table are slim.

Make no mistake about it though. We are in this position for SISU's self interest; ACL could never work alongside an entity that is so obviously trying to undermine and eventually destroy them.

Can you blame them? These people tried to fuck them over? They still are trying to fuck them over.

Personally, heartbreaking though it is, I am more passionate in my hatred of this selfish, immoral and unethical firm than I am about watching my team. First and foremost, I would prefer that ACL didn't do any kind of deal with them. Certainly not for ownership of our stadium anyway.

Not sure I agree that it doesn't matter. For a sustainable resolution each individual party has to recognise and accept the role they played in the current situation. That requires a degree of humility and honesty. Both of which are commodities that are lacking in the SISI Character and makeup.

We have let players go for a pittance! its about time we stuck it out and got decent money for the Christie's of this world if the twat Robbins wants him ring him back at 10:45 and tell him £1million or fuck off

Huddersfield could certainly afford it with the £4m they have just received from the sale of their full back.
