It’s a shame it’s ended this way… (4 Viewers)

I would bloody love to pip Ipswich to Top 2 mind you, the amount of their lot buzzing with that result last night as it has knocked us off the top is very weird considering it was an inconvenient result for them as well

I guess like any of the three of us it's immaterial if we finish first or second.

I would argue that if you're thinking that Onyeka is the catalyst, then so could Esse, BTA, or Wright actually going on a run of form.

It's never about one player, however I do think he could lead by example, in training and then in games and in that sense could act as a catalyst to get us out of this malaise.

But it could all just be as simple of we had a lucky run, everything went for us and we are now finding our true level in this league.
Hopefully he has a similar effect to Dennis Wise.

I'm going to both, never seen us win at WBA so about time I did and not been to Brammel Lane since that ¼ final defeat so I want revenge. With the right attitude the players should not fear these two
Only ever been to West Brom twice. First one was 0-0 and a dour game and the second, they beat us 7-1 and Regis was unstoppable.

Even if we were the best team in the world and on a 500 game winning streak, we’d still fail to win at Deepdale.
Bet Middlesborough would win 18-0.

“It’s a shame it’s ended this way…….”

It’s like some of our fans have been reading a novel and lapping it up. Then they come across a plot twist they were not expecting; so they have impatiently turned to the last chapter to find out the ending.

To their horror the last chapter is missing and they have sank into despair with where they are at in the story.

But hang on, only half the book has been written, it’s being released in weekly instalments. Anything can happen yet.

This is what I’m clinging to. Lampard said he was quiet in the dressing room but I’m hoping he’s all action on the pitch and that sets an example. It’s a straw to grasp at at least. It’s just the fact we need to drop one of our set piece takers for him that worries me.
But we can focus on other areas to score goals,no,I hope so.

Not the end of the world, our set pieces have been fucking dire recently

That 7-1 defeat was my first ever away game - chocolate strip if my (distant) memory is right??

Coincidentally, the first away game I remember. I think I went to other away games before this but can't remember.

Yeah but it isn't replayed.

Norwich are making light work of it.

We know the game isn’t replayed, but what he said bears some relevance to our game on Saturday.

Well at least as much as over analysing a game we aren’t even involved in and bears no relevance to our league position.

It's not over analysing it.

okay go and revisit some of the chances Middlesbrough and Ipswich spaffed to win games when we were flying. Look at teams we have beaten but that team looked much better in the game they played before us.

Each game is different. They are not comparable. In football success and failure is measured in inches. The Championship throws up inconsistent results from week to week. In Oxford’s position once a goal down after 60 seconds they have to be more adventurous than they were against us. It’s a different game with different circumstances.

Yeah Norwich have a striker that can be arsed and didn't put a sitter wide.

Their full back puts a great ball in to be attacked and not some weird floaty shite.

You sound like a spoilt baby and like someone who has never played football

Hardly a spoilt baby to point that out.
You do, you sound like a stroppy kid. Okay Haji missed a good chance, but it wasn’t a sitter. The way he ran on to the ball he looked like he could be arsed to me. “Can’t be arsed“ glib comments like that. If you have played football you would know, you can have skill, you can have motivation, you can put the effort in as a team - but some days it just doesn’t workout for you. If you have never missed a sitter yourself Nick you couldn’t be very good, never in the right place. If you have missed a sitter and lost games you should have won, your posts would be more balanced.

It's not just one game though, is it?

It was a sitter, he didn't even hit the target.
