I would bloody love to pip Ipswich to Top 2 mind you, the amount of their lot buzzing with that result last night as it has knocked us off the top is very weird considering it was an inconvenient result for them as well
A heavy defeat at Blues tonight and I would be surprised if he even makes our gameWBA new manager will finally have a win and it's going to be against us lol.
I’m always objective after we loseFootball fans aren't known for their objectivity, and nor should they be!
Hopefully he has a similar effect to Dennis Wise.I would argue that if you're thinking that Onyeka is the catalyst, then so could Esse, BTA, or Wright actually going on a run of form.
It's never about one player, however I do think he could lead by example, in training and then in games and in that sense could act as a catalyst to get us out of this malaise.
But it could all just be as simple of we had a lucky run, everything went for us and we are now finding our true level in this league.
Only ever been to West Brom twice. First one was 0-0 and a dour game and the second, they beat us 7-1 and Regis was unstoppable.I'm going to both, never seen us win at WBA so about time I did and not been to Brammel Lane since that ¼ final defeat so I want revenge. With the right attitude the players should not fear these two
Our record there is awful. I tell a lie actually. I did see us win in 1995 FA Cup Replay, Dublin and Ndlovu with 2 late goalsOnly ever been to West Brom twice. First one was 0-0 and a dour game and the second, they beat us 7-1 and Regis was unstoppable.
If we want to go up then all these awful records (PNE, Norwich, WBA) need to go out the window...Our record there is awful. I tell a lie actually. I did see us win in 1995 FA Cup Replay, Dublin and Ndlovu with 2 late goals
Even if we were the best team in the world and on a 500 game winning streak, we’d still fail to win at Deepdale. If we want to go up then all these awful records (PNE, Norwich, WBA) need to go out the window...
Bet Middlesborough would win 18-0.Even if we were the best team in the world and on a 500 game winning streak, we’d still fail to win at Deepdale.
But we can focus on other areas to score goals,no,I hope so.This is what I’m clinging to. Lampard said he was quiet in the dressing room but I’m hoping he’s all action on the pitch and that sets an example. It’s a straw to grasp at at least. It’s just the fact we need to drop one of our set piece takers for him that worries me.
Not the end of the world, our set pieces have been fucking dire recentlyThis is what I’m clinging to. That 7-1 defeat was my first ever away game - chocolate strip if my (distant) memory is right??Only ever been to West Brom twice. First one was 0-0 and a dour game and the second, they beat us 7-1 and Regis was unstoppable.
It wasn’t even a bad performance either, Lampard hit the nail on the head when he said if the game is replayed, we win almost every time.We dropped our first points at home in a long time Saturday.
Not concerned about our home form personally, its the away form that worries me, it's beyond dreadful.

Assante back game after next. EMC next week, hopefully, Frank the tank and the other new lad.. Hopefully like 4 new signings.Pinning our hopes on player who hasn't played and who msny of us have probably never seen play just shows how desperate the situation is
Yeah but it isn't replayed. It wasn’t even a bad performance either, Lampard hit the nail on the head when he said if the game is replayed, we win almost every time.
Yeah but it isn't replayed.
Norwich are making light work of it.
It's not over analysing it.We know the game isn’t replayed, but what he said bears some relevance to our game on Saturday.
Well at least as much as over analysing a game we aren’t even involved in and bears no relevance to our league position.
It's not over analysing it.
Yeah Norwich have a striker that can be arsed and didn't put a sitter wide.okay go and revisit some of the chances Middlesbrough and Ipswich spaffed to win games when we were flying. Look at teams we have beaten but that team looked much better in the game they played before us.
Each game is different. They are not comparable. In football success and failure is measured in inches. The Championship throws up inconsistent results from week to week. In Oxford’s position once a goal down after 60 seconds they have to be more adventurous than they were against us. It’s a different game with different circumstances.
Yeah Norwich have a striker that can be arsed and didn't put a sitter wide.
Hardly a spoilt baby to point that out.You sound like a spoilt baby and like someone who has never played football
You do, you sound like a stroppy kid. Okay Haji missed a good chance, but it wasn’t a sitter. The way he ran on to the ball he looked like he could be arsed to me. “Can’t be arsed“ glib comments like that. If you have played football you would know, you can have skill, you can have motivation, you can put the effort in as a team - but some days it just doesn’t workout for you. If you have never missed a sitter yourself Nick you couldn’t be very good, never in the right place. If you have missed a sitter and lost games you should have won, your posts would be more balanced.Hardly a spoilt baby to point that out.

Not that I'm comparing Wright to Cole Palamer but that was a sitter that Palmer missed right at the end of the Chelsea game last night. It's not just one game though, is it?
It was a sitter, he didn't even hit the target.
I’m afraid this is the correct analysis as things stand right now. I’d love to be proven wrong but I don’t can’t even see us succeeding in the play-offs right now. I’ll be surprised if we even scrape a draw against Middlesbrough.Today showed that we won’t make it in the autos race.
This is not even a melodramatic post. The players don’t have the mentality, fight, passion to do this. Been evident for months.
If this is how they want to perform at home then there’s no chance for the rest of the season.
How on earth will these bunch of players be up for a battle with Boro?
Lampard you’re to blame as well as you’ve persisted with some nonsense tactics, formations even when we started the downward spiral. Don’t use injuries and fatigue as an excuse. You should have tightened us up over the last few months.
If you can’t beat Oxford who are awful at home in a promotion run in you don’t deserve anything. We don’t have any away form.
Too many so called big players picking up a wage for little return. No urgency, passion, creativity… nothing.
We won’t be going up through the autos and we haven’t a hells chance in winning any play off battles.
It’s a shame as this is the once in the blue moon chance to get out of this league. But it’s ending in a worrying style.
Our record there is awful. I tell a lie actually. I did see us win in 1995 FA Cup Replay, Dublin and Ndlovu with 2 late goals
Mboro have been good for 6 games, and eveyones going on like they’re a prime Barcelona with these mind blowing tactics that are unstoppable, rubbish,we turn up Monday and there’s no reason Why we can’t win, we brought Onyeka in to help where we’ve been struggling, he could be the difference ? Asante to come back, it’s nowhere near over, you watch what happens if we win Monday, it‘ll give the players and fans a massive lift,I’m afraid this is the correct analysis as things stand right now. I’d love to be proven wrong but I don’t can’t even see us succeeding in the play-offs right now. I’ll be surprised if we even scrape a draw against Middlesbrough.
Oh ffs I thought we had got rid of you for goodChrist some proper wet wipes on here aren’t there
