Do we even know how much of Hamas is still operationally active?
they've called up 7000 armed reservists to reassert their control of areas Israel is vacating. Also to combat other militias. "to cleanse Gaza of outlaws and collaborators with Israel" Hamas isn't going to disappear. And with the billions in aid/reconstruction due to come in they will probably be creaming off large amounts to rearm and resestablish control of Gaza. Israel won't sit back & let Hamas reassert control.
still a long way from proper peace

Fantastic scenes in Israel in anticipation of the hostages being released.
A remarkable achievement by President Trump.

If you say that without acknowledging that it's something he could have done right from the moment he took office, instead of continuing to provide weapons that have killed literally tens of thousands of innocent men, women, and children, then I'm afraid you're deliberately ignoring the whole picture.

But then that's the only way that anyone can support Trump, they have to close the eyes to the bad stuff and stuck their fingers in their ears. Otherwise they would have to admit to their utter, breath-taking, hypocrisy, and no one likes to do that.

Really hope this is the beginning of the end and everyone can now work towards a long term two state solution.

Sadly I hold little hope given some of the comments from Netanyahu and his cabinet since the ceasefire was put forward.

If the reports of the kipnapping and subsequent killing of Saleh al-Jaafarawi after the ceasefire deadline are true it doesn't bode well.

The last paragraph is steeped in Irony. The same in reverse applies to those who cannot stomach saying anything positive.

I do not think several Arab states and Hamas would have signed a deal the day he arrived in office.

UK weapon sales have peaked to record levels for Israel in the last 4 months by the way.

It will be a fragile peace for as long as the Iranian regime and its terrorist proxies are dedicated to the death of Israel.

You have complained that nobody posted quick enough about the initial Hamas attacks while not once criticising what Israel have done in response.

Just as you never actually criticised Putin for anything he’s done in Ukraine. There is no impartiality here.

And whilst Israel continues to illegally occupy Palestinian land, persecute and murder those who live there, and maintain an apartheid system within its own territory (supported indirectly by Trump's America), of course.

Or do you not condemn that too?

Feel free to just leave a poo emoji if you haven't got an actual sensible response, of course - I can't think of a better way of highlighting how weak as shit your argument actually is. Smells like, victory. 😁

You are absolutely hilarious, biggest twat on here. Even on a day like today where Israeli hostages have been freed you make it all about trump and how much he hurts your feelings, absolute bellend

‘Smells like victory’ are you 5 years old or something? Grown man btw

In case anyone's wondering why folks might not feel like celebrating too much just yet, a little reminder that there's a fairly big job still to be done...

this is the damage done without Israel achieving it's stated aim (i.e. eliminate Hamas). It's a rational response to worry about what comes next.

Welcome to the fiefdoms, whichever side the enclosure you're from, now just remember to not encroach on the piece of it that the vet's have nicely prepared with a bed of hay and a pestilence wash until the next harvest!

We were in Berlin last week and lined up in front of Brandenburg Tor was a load of empty chairs marking the the second anniversary of the 7th October attacks. On the chairs were pictures of faces with names and information of how victims were taken or killed. For the babies they instead had high chairs.

There wouldn't be enough room to do that for the innocent victims of Israeli attacks in the last year, they've attacked not only Gaza but Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Qatar & Tunisia.
