I know you like to blame everything on immigration, but football fans from different countries have been kicking the shit out of each other for decades.

I also have no doubt that a Russian team playing a competitive game in the UK in this environment would probably require a pretty serious security operation, and I’m not sure why you’d claim it wouldn’t?
I doubt the issue is they think they will be attacked by the Villa firm.

You think this decision is about hooliganism?! That is seriously naive. Israeli fans were attacked in Amsterdam with crowds shouting ‘they’re Jews, the IDF’.

The SAG has looked at the demographics of Birmingham, that routinely has Pro-Pal demos and have made a decision they cannot guarantee the safety of Israeli football fans. That is pretty shameful that certain minorities are not protected.

If Russian and/or Ukrainian fans were allowed to travel for sporting events, they wouldn’t be banned for their safety.

More extremist Islam is bad if that’s what you mean. I’m not religious so I don’t especially want ‘more’ of any of them tbh, but I don’t see any religion as inherently good or bad.
I definitely see some religions as less progressive and more backward thinking than others , and in a progressive society i dont want more of it

They surely would in certain countries. As I’ve said earlier in this thread, I don’t agree with that, but surely some club would ban them for fear of trouble.

There are extremely un-progressive groups in all religions - Islam, Judaism, Christianity, whatever - but when you’re talking about a minority within a minority then I wouldn’t use their views to say I want ‘more Islam’ or ‘‘less Judaism’ or whatever. And as I say, I don’t believe in any of it anyway.

The idea an orthodox jew is progressive is hilarious

Generally agree with what you're saying here.

The issue in this instance is obviously that Birmingham is made up of 30% Muslims.

That seems like an absolute tinder box just ready to ignite (from both sides).

Why would the Religion of Peace be the issue in the equation?

If we cut to the chase , the reason their fans have been banned is because the local authorities cant guarantee their safety because birmingham has a very large muslim population that will probably be out for blood .

Isnt this the truth ?

So what happens when more and more of the uk becomes more Muslim, can the Israel fans be banned from all these cities.

I'm sure it's just coincidence that so many racists in England "support" Israel in their matchup against Palestine

As for this situation its unfortunate but they wanna s oid violence. Also didn't the Israeli fans cause trouble in Amsterdam aswell?

Plus they shouldn't be allowed in the completion of Russian clubs ain't allowed

You say that the issue is that Birmingham is made up of 30% Muslims.

I disagree with you, I don't think that is the issue. The local MP is a member of Jeremy Corbyns' 'Independent Alliance' and it feels to me that the MP is stoking up sectarian division for his own ends to make personal political capital out of the situation.

I don't believe that local Muslims are broadly ready to ignite in the manner suggested or threaten other people's safety solely based on their nationality or their religion. The Muslims that I know are not filled with that level of blind hatred and I don't personally believe pandering to any minority within any part of our society that might think in that way is a good idea.

Well yes - that and the fact that the Maccabi Tel Aviv fans also have a track record of racist violence themselves.

As I’ve said earlier in this thread - I personally think it’s wrong to assume the worst in football fans and you should let the police do their job. I wouldn’t assume that Birmingham’s entire Muslim population is “out for blood” either.
