Been through all of this before.

For those who have not been able to justify having a season ticket for differing undestandable reasons over the previous qualifying seasons are in all practicality 'shut out' of almost all games. The only ones that can be attended are those that are midweek away and the couple of those games away with big allocations such Sheff Wednesday and Stoke in cup and Im sure Blackburn.

I have over 900 points and only got to Preston, Sheffied Wednesday and Stoke in FA cup. This is someone who has been to countless home and away games over a very long time period. Some games were possible to get tickets for but not practical with being midweek and more than 200 plus miles away from me .

Cant be 100% but this is my analysis so far for someone with 900 points and likely situation should we continue being in contention for direct promotion.

Fairest way is a ballot or at least a partial ballot when some tickets are kept to one side to allow a small portion of different people to go.

If you’re not committing to going to all home games (by buying a ST) why do you need to go to away ones?

The problem with your fairest way is that it isnt actualy fair. I am fortunate and qualify for the majority of games however i object to potentially missing out on a low allocation game to somebody who has minimum points but wins a ballot. Already we have supporters clubs guaranteed tickets at lower brackets and im sure the club also take an amount for players to distribute too. Imagine Bournemouth away in the premier under your proposal... people in the highest bracket probably miss out.

Yeah his 'fairest way' seems to suggest all tickets in a ballot. Only suggested some tickets as second option.
The agenda is clear, easy access to tickets for those who can't be arsed to do the leg work and fuck those that have

Nice one! Give Tombland a visit. Cathedral worth a look at and the Ribs of Beef pub and eateries are very nice.

King's Head just over the Bridge from the Ribs is a decent traditional ale pub too, if that's your thing.

Brighton have a system where points are tiered for Away games, so a London game on a Saturday is 5 points, and say Sunderland Away on a Tuesday night would be 15. They also only get points if the tickets are actually scanned and they are non transferable. That's what's coming next year for us if we get promoted I'm sure.

People have it in their heads that fans are buying tickets and not going. Bar Bristol City in the cup last season, I've not seen it tbh

you answered the question, yes you have to go to Norwich to make sacrifice. Did I want to go to Burnley away last year on a Tuesday with no manager, no, was it a logistical nightmare, yes. However did it to
Move up ladder and enable the lower allocation/big games.

the points system is pretty fair on whole. Loyalty is rewarded.

I would not buy a ticket just for the points and not go to the game as many others do-that is just being a shit house and taking the opportunity away from another person who may want to go. I have though purchased away tickets numerous times from point collectors which I have said previously is a shitty thing to do and this being the basis for many regarding the “closed shop” which I would agree with.
Somebody previously also mentioned how much of a problem is people selling tickets on-put it this way if you want one you will most likely be able to get one.
Worst case scenario-if an away game sells out there are ways and means of getting in. If that means the home end then so be it as was the case at Oxford/Sheff Wed/Stoke and Southampton and you obviously have to sit on your hands. By hook or by crook I’ll be there points or no points.

Not been there. I like visiting Norwich, it’s a great pub crawl pre match. The Murderer’s in the City centre is a fantastic pub too. Don’t do the ones by the river though, you won’t get in.

Ipswich - I bought the tickets off a points collector. First time, but I wanted to go to Portman Rd.
