I’m not being naive in saying that on balance none of those people defend child rape. I’ve already agreed they were naive in picking Nuneaton at the time they did, but these counter demos were being organised under the same umbrella nationally.

Yes the crime had happened. It's literally why people took to the streets.

I'm saying the counter protesters turned up at a protest setup because of people angry because of a child being raped.

The issue with the anti far right protestors is that they are not from the immediate area. They are funded and bused in by groups like Hope Not Hate who are charities. If you remove funding from those charities that are not completely apolitical then they couldnt do it. Most things in this country are easy to fix you just need someone with the conviction to do it, unfortunately its that tribal at the moment nothing will ever get done as you open yourself up to legal warfare under the ECHR. As for the Illegal he should do proper hard labour for 15 years before being kicked out.
