Why are you making things up again?

I'm getting deja vu. Won't be long until there's a batch DM telling people about your outrage.

Yep, every illegal immigrant is fleeing rape and torture. You should let some live with you and look after them.

If you are an asylum seeker or boat person then you should be placed in internment centres until your case is assessed. To do this effectively we need to forget the ECHR and use the laws available to us. If you chuck your passport away you should be dna checked immediately and deported back to that country. Putting folk in hmo,s within urban areas is a recipe for disaster. The law needs changing to allow applicants to be able to claim from their country, having to be in person is the thing that drives it as they know they will never get removed.

i wont argue that the use of hotels fails not everyone who escapes has a passport if your an enemy of the state its pretty hard to have one the biggest problem is past governments cut budgets to process them so there ended up a massive backlog thatll take forever to clear and also the way we removed or tried to remove failed applicants which expected them to turn up at a chosen date of there own free will funny enough they dont and then they go into gigs with uber and the lick so firm that bit of the process up too

Get your family safe. Get them in the first safe country you get to. Ideally a country that you're culturally aligned to, possibly even already understand the language ... but no, leave your family in that war torn place that you're supposedly scared to exist in, go through multiple safe countries, join 300 other blokes, risk your life on a boat to get to England and be locked up in a hotel where nobody wants you.

You'd think there'd be no upside, so why do they keep coming?

As a young bloke, holed up with no female company, cant communicate or meet people then be let out and about on the streets with hormones running high and the authorities are surprised when some of them sexually assault young women.

Whilst I'm not excusing it, in their cultural norm, it shouldn't be a surprise. The authorities need to get a grip but I dont have any answers, just see the same arguments on here from both sides repeated.

If it's not resolved though, I think some people who think it's not an issue and sympathise, will be very disappointed with the seemingly inevitable outcome.

By all means point to a single poster who wants them putting up in hotels or is even happy with how things are.

Really? You've taken that from what I posted, even though I didn't type that? Perhaps try reading again.

‘People who think it’s not an issue and sympathise’ is referring to who then?
It's referring to them coming over and people defending their rights in being here, nothing to do with hotels, I only pointed out that's where they often end up. So many trying to pretend these are refugees and refuse to call yhem what they actually are.

as an aside the one in Warwick that housed them for 3 months, they are still there 18 months later.

Many defend their rights to enter the country on the pretext they are escaping persecution

You can’t illegally claim asylum in this country, at least not yet.

What are they really, out of interest?

You see this is the exact point I'm making and you're compounding it.

I made a lengthy post explaining why it's a risk, why sexual assaults may happen, why they shouldn't even be coming, saying I dont have the answers to house those that are here, yet you're still looking for out of context parts to row about and point score about our indifferent views than address any of the actual meat of the post.

Fwiw I consider them illegal immigrants who should be removed and returned but you know that and want to tell ne you disagree with my terminology. Keep burying your head and then moan and complain when the grifters take control of parliament.

You’re talking to someone who doesn’t want them in hotels, does want offshore processing and does want the remainder who are here putting away from towns and cities.
