Colchester Utd Chairman has broken down the revenue that Clubs receive through IFollow.

Saying that in a game usually getting 54K gate receipts they received just 8K IFollow because of the way IFollow splits revenue between ‘away’ and Home subscribers (only receive up to 500 away subs money).

Does this mean we benefitting or not?

As I said on the Andy Holt thread that is making the assumption that all of Boltons ifollow purchases would have been converted in to pgysical ticket sales in a non covid world/

That seems unlikely

Also explains why it is important that as many of us support CCFC through the official ifollow packages as possible. Home and away. I know it is not easy for everybody, but let's be honest to follow for a whole season away probably costs the same as three big away days, when you factor in tickets, travel and 'a day out on the beer/meals etc' - and that is as an individual. If there is more than one of you in a family that go, then you can recoup the money over a couple of games regarding away games. In addition, the cost is spread over the year.

Seems like his real problem is home fans not buying passes. Less than 500 sold??

Quite bleak really reading that for a club like Colchester.

Also his club are unlikely to recieve anything from a surplus in away match streams as they wont get to 500.

Id think our income would be significant home or away even taking into account club championship.

In saying thats theres probably 100s streaming it for free. Which is illegal and bordering on stealing from the club.

We will have far more subscribers than Colchester for a start, and we are also in a league where just about every team except maybe Wycombe will hit the 500 max for away fans. Remember also for every one we sell over 500 for away matches we receive the money. It would be good to know what the take up was of our fans for the Bristol City game.

I said on the Andy Hold thread, that's L2 specific. L1 they have a system based on average away attendances and Championship we all just keep our own.

Really was never a better time to get out of that league.
