1) ST holders get JPT group games free and can take another(s) for a quid.
2) Need to encourage more kids to attend games, we all went when we were 5yrs + but you just don't see that anymore
3) Get people to arrive early and stay later - reduced prices before 2pm and then 5-6.30pm for example.
4) ST holders get a 25% discount at the club shop
5) free ticket on your birthday!

ST holders to get a discount in the club shop (doesn't have to be much, 5-10% would suffice)

ST holders/Members to get £1 discount on official coach travel

Monthly raffle of ST holders/JSB's to win items such as a signed ball/Poster - Can be collected at the next home game/club shop to avoid postage costs.

Mixed Ticket packages with CRFC/Cov Blaze/ the bees (if they ever return)

Run Minibuses/buses to the ground from various points in the city/surrounding areas - £3 return for instance, with a couple of pick-ups/drop-offs on each route.

There are a fair few kids there, also at the kids parties.

What benefit would there be to the club in arriving earlier and going later?

Guy above seemed to know a bit about working at ccfc and suggests their under staffed.

Ideas are cheap, theres some great ones on here but they all cost time and money to implement. Surley anybody whos job it is to promote the club would of thought of these ideas already. I can only imagine they just dont have the staff needed on top of the basic duties of running a football club.

Not really, there are lots that can be done for cheap / free. Understandably huge campaigns on billboards etc but there's plenty that's common sense and costs pennies.

And this is why we want the ideas, maybe fans could pitch in and assist if the club made a request, many teams where budgets are squeezed and resources tight have fans who help out on a variety of tasks but they need to ask. To date, I don't think the club has asked for anyone to help out.
I think the commercial side has improved this year, would be nice to know what his targets are so we can help out and he didn't call the employees useless, he was referring to the dedication of the senior leadership team which is completely different.

Great ideas coming forward (apart from the Otis gig) Keep them coming and I will ensure they get to the generals in charge.

I completely agree. This is what the club does fail to do. I do struggle to understand why the club doesn't utilise our fanbase to further the CCFC brand within Coventry and Warwickshire. Sky Blues in the Community could really benefit from this as they could use all the help they can get. Commercially it may not be as effective but it wouldn't hurt to consult with the Sky Blues Trust as a networking partner so to speak; as they'd be effective in knowing the right people to recommend to the club within the area.

I'd understand if the club didn't air their commercial targets as there needs to be an element of non-disclosure in every business, but I too would like an indication of its annual aims - as you said it would allow the fans to understand what the club needs to push on.

Well I actually said he was calling them 'effectively useless', which was certainly what he was implying as he apparently couldn't understand what Dave Boddy "does all day." That questions his ability as a CEO in my eyes which his wholly unfair. Even questioning his desire is unfair and ridiculous when he has zero evidence so far to support such a statement, unless you care to disagree...?

Starting this season / pre season it looks like the promotion of SBITC and the JSB family zone stuff has been a lot more noticeable from CCFC. Even things like "come to family zone" and tweeting it all etc which I didnt notice before.

I've too noticed this. I haven't seen anything from CCFC suggesting a new social media administrator as been brought in (correct me if I'm wrong please), but they've clearly come on leaps and bounds in this area this season. For instance, their daily output on twitter has increased two-fold and been in large fairly informative. Even their communication with fans who have pressing questions on social media has been improved which is nice to see because it shows that they do understand their overall communication with fans has been appalling in previous years, especially with match day concerns.

Aside from the usual, SISU Out, stay at the Ricoh, drop the ticket prices:

Every Season Ticket holder should get a free hospitality ticket each season, where they get the three course meal etc.
(I know they did similar this season but that was if your birthday was in June or something)

Each season ticket holder should get Checkatrade and Carabao Home Cup tickets chucked in for free.

Run the summer training courses for kids again and sponsor and sponsor/host some youth tournaments. A great way of attracting new young blood to the fan base and getting involved in the community. They scrapped the training courses David Buust used to run in my youth (at Finham) and they were immensely popular and full of Sunday league players from across the city. Every summer Pinley and Whitley host youth tournaments and CCFC used to be involved with trophies and sending players down but now they don't bother at all. Don't see why we couldn't try and get involved in more youth football.

From a non season ticket holder.

I can question whoever I want. I have seen no evidence of Boddy doing much to promote the club to the community. How hard would it be for him to go on the radio a few times?

You think it is wrong for us to question what Boddy is doing all day, so presumably you know the answer. Why not tell us what he has been doing?

My main point, which you missed, was that a local business person would have much better contacts with the local community than someone like Boddy who has no affiliation with Coventry. I am not blaming Boddy for that, I am blaming SISU as they decided to appoint him.

James, I totally agree and the commercials side has been a real improvement along with twitter etc.

For me, a CEO & COO/MD should be setting strategy and implementing it and for it to be done well, needs to be communicated to all staff and where possible, to those who can make a difference and that's the part where I think he could really transform some areas of fan involvement. There are plenty who won't because of SISU but equally, there are thousand who will as witnessed at Wembley last year where I am sure some said nopm and then changed that day.

Communication is essential and for me, simple things like a tweet from him or the club, "Working at the club today but have an hour spare and would be open to fans questions, tweet now and I will try to reply in the next hour with answers" won't suit everyone but it's a form of positive communication.

Not all the ideas on here will have been thought out by those in the club as they are all generally above the age of 35-40, many of them could be done for free and the supporters trust could assist on these along with others

Thing is, things like that didn't go overly well when Brdy tried it...

Whilst I agree generally with communication, it's a bit hard to communicate if the message is then rather different from above the club, from the owners... and that's what anybody has to battle against. If communication isn;t sincere (or even if it *is* sincere, but ends up being undermined) is there any point?

Possibly but can be orchestrated around topics and that way, they can agree their stance before and how to answer in line with the owners wishes. Even if it is a thread like this, then a month later, views on players, player ratings, who would you bring in to help the squad, away fans and should we target a day out, home game, how would we fill for a day etc etc

It can be done, just needs thoughts and careful planning, but I know they also have day jobs.

Not to cause a witch hunt or anything but I've been told from a reliable source in the Sky Blues Trust that Boddy has been busy trying to push the sale of the training ground, picking up Venus and Slade's good work. Get your pitch forks ready lads.

My question would be why they're bothering refurbishing it, if that were the case (even if it is with voluntary labour!).

Not saying it won't happen btw... but it would be very curious timing.

You're more than entitled to your opinion, I never said you weren't. But if you can't back a statement up with sufficient evidence how can you expect people such as myself not to question its credibility? It's not hard for Boddy to do at least a radio interview a fortnight to keep the fans in the loop, I don't disagree with you there. Even if he states that the commercial/community projects are simply going well, I'd be content with that. However, does refraining from doing the odd radio interview lessen Boddy's credibility as a CEO?

Well to name a few. He's brought in Richard Overson to sponsor the academy from the U9's through to the U14's. Board sales are up from last season, and he's in constant discussions with Ticketmaster to ensure that issues in the ticketing department are ironed out.

Your main point neglects one crucial aspect, why would a local businessman associate himself with the club? Firstly the job of a CEO is full time therefore he would have to completely put his business to one side to take up a role that is likely to be more work, longer hours and could be a potential risk to his/her reputation. Secondly, a local businessman would be conscious about that fact he could be made into a scapegoat, therefore why would a someone with a working knowledge of how SISU operate even consider taking up such a role under them?

Completely agree with all of the above. There will be more than enough of us out there that would be more than happy to lend a helping hand in any projects that CCFC may want to undertake, but simply don't have the manpower to carry out. If the club was on board I personally think it would not only reap the rewards, but it would build a strong bridge between fan and club.

See this is the issue, those working within the club don't have a spare hour. They're so understaffed at the minute that effective communication falls by the wayside. What puzzles me is why they have two universities on the door step but don't offer unpaid internships? Students already understand the value of work experience for their CV, therefore you'd assume many would jump at the chance to spend a few weeks at a reputable football club. So, once again I fail to comprehend why CCFC don't take advantage? The advantages will outweigh the negatives by a mile. For instance, they'd gain a link with two massive universities, gain more staff and more importantly be better equipped to run a football club.

If the Club know in advance that Ponticelli is making his full home debut then they could offer very cheap tickets (£2?) to any kids that play for Cov Jag (his former club) if they come in their club shirts. Might show some solidarity to Jordan if theyre all sat together in the same kits and also it would engage a lot of kids giving them something more to aspire to.

Work with one of the local independent micro breweries to brew a range of Sky Blues beers that can be sold before the game, perhaps setting up a beer tent outside the ground as well as distributing to local pubs.
