but a win yesterday would of given us a better chance to have enough points to win the league against Wrexham, we all want to see us lift the trophy at home not away at Watford, the problem was that there was that much expectation yesterday, left feeling a bit flat, I’ll be feeling better Friday at Blackburn about 10 o clock,
How fortunate of us to want to manufacture how to lift the trophy.

That is entitlement

I'm glad I'm not the only one not quite there yet! I thought I was on my lonesome. Interesting listening to Benjamin Bloom this morning who points to it too with all of the schedules and permutations it used to be more huddled around your phone watching results that mattered etc.

And despite all our panicking about the title, he still has us nailed on for it, despite him being an Ipswich fan.

We can sit back and watch Pisswich now and see what happens then! Even they are subject to playing shite against lower teams.

How on earth is it a damp squib the team have re written the club record book ,we will get 90 points never done before. We have been top of a division for 2/3 of the season, some people on here need to get grip

The circumstances of it - we could have cruised it today- my first match was 1976 and was around went we went down as well as travelling away to Carlisle in L2 because of all that i wanted it to be amazing - to me it is not and feels bitty

It more than likely is but I just can't
It would have been better if we’d put a performance in yesterday. 2 pts. There for the taking. Fans going to Blackburn have the better end of the stick.

But to me, our celebration needs to be a Champions trophy, at home, won on matchday.

It’s a wierd feeling at the moment isn’t it. I know we’re going up but wanted to celebrate by winning a game and playing well. Hopefully when I’m at Blackburn on Friday we’ll have a nice win and party all the way back to Cov and carry on when we get back

That’s the thing - if we don’t win Friday though it will start another conversation

I find the mood a lot are in today quite odd to be honest. Maybe it just hasnt sunk in?

I think from my perspective it’s been the longest season I can remember. I think being top for so long has just made it odd. I sit with the same people since we’ve returned and we all have just wanted it ended really.

I think for many it won’t really sink in until you see next years fixtures

Yes this is what I said yesterday. Many people have found this season quite exhausting mentally and getting over the line is more a relief.

Like you said, its going to sink in over time. The playoffs is more stressful, which is probably why you get that euphoric outcome if you go up that way

It’s really strange but I can’t get excited yet either, even though I know it would take nothing short of a miracle for us not to finish in the top two.

By my calculations, if Millwall win every one of their remaining four matches by a margin of four goals and we lose all of ours by the same margin then we still go up by a better goal difference of one goal 😊

You would think that would be enough to convince me to crack open the champagne, wouldn’t you? I guess supporting the Sky blues for 63 years has done funny things to my brain 😄
Yeah cmon we are up let yrself go

Some bizarre takes here. Remember being away in Northampton/docked points/scraping around for free transfers? We’ve just been promoted to the Premier League!! What’s the problem.

I knew we’d get promoted when we but a stoke and there were wild celebrations - Swansea confirmed it and now it’s just waiting till the end

I'm the same, it's a weird mental limbo. It's obviously happening, but I feel no different from before yesterday's games. Until it's officially done, we're not promoted and my brain can't celebrate yet. Roll on Friday

It’s not a problem, it’s just not official yet, some went for it last night and it was brilliant, some are waiting until it’s officially done

What's with this 'entitled' that is quoted endlessly.

There's nothing entitled about me.

I'm just an old working class ex council house kid from Canley, I'm a fucking doughbag and I'm no more entitled than the next person and all I'm saying is I didn't enjoy yesterday's game.

I feel your pain Bad Boy. 😎

I don't see why it is even remotely controversial, but I think some are just a bit over excited and therefore have gone out for some rage bait.

I mean I celebrated at like 90%, but I think it will hit harder come the final whistle against Blackburn, and also Wrexham. I don't see any entitlement in wanting things wrapped up officially, we are a scorn fan base with a history of disaster. If anything it is the opposite!
