Hull Manager

Hull manager shooting his mouth off to the press declaring he knows we are only prepared to spend €40m on new signings (roughly £35m)

Anyone else find this a bit bizarre? I very highly doubt we would make our transfer budget public knowledge, least of all to a rival manager - Strange

Trying to use their intelligence suggesting the spend would normally be that for one of Doug's wealth etc,, he's trying to suggest that anything above that needs questioning, don't forget he's got a media Mogul for a chairman.
Probably throwing a bomb our way for attempting to derail their season with Charlie Hughes antics!

It is just a lazy no news day article. I can’t believe people are trying to read so much into it and turning it into some sort of psychological warfare.

You're over-thinking it.

Hull are currently in breach of PSR so comments like this are a bit daft or attempting to manage expectations when they can't spend enough to compete.

They have to sell 6mill worth of players not to break a rule that could end in pts deduction apparently. But the club are saying we have players that are not good enough for the prem, but as we are a prem team we can demand more in fees.

Basket case of a club by the sounds of it, but no doubt they will cheat to get round it.

Is £6 million correct? I thought it was lower.
If true, its not a small amount and could mean they end up selling someone they'd rather not.

The players that were mentioned included Palmer and names that didn't even get in squads. Sounds like they have to cash in on the GK, Hughes type to raise that sort of money. Not a great platform to start life in the prem.

Why are we giving him oxygen? They will be the first team to come straight back down

You do wonder if there will be some clever deal with Maribor to circumvent it as the owner controls both.

I actually think the way he sets them up will benefit them in the prem

The owner sits on the board of Fenerbache

Wouldn't be surprised if they end up mysteriously forking out £6m for one of Hull's fringe players

I don't think he is anymore but there is no doubt he's very well connected in Turkey. He'll find a way out of it.

If we aren't able to get Rushworth over the line I wouldn't mind the Hull goalkeeper as an alternative. He's always looked pretty decent to me.

On reflection - maybe he was just referring to how much we planned to spend on our midfield:ROFLMAO:
Or he thought that players would constantly say no to us like they have to Hull so we wouldn't be able to spend the money 😂
