I truly believe signing him saved our season
Without a doubt. But that doesn't put him above criticism when he plays poorly. Had 2 poor games this weekend. Looks like the product of over playing players when the squad is there not being used. MVE another one of those. MVE looked absolutely mentally and physically drained tonight. Granted there's was no KKH on the bench tonight to rest him. But that has for most of the season. Yet we've ran him MVE to the ground.

Thought MvE was decent apart from his final ball at times.

out of the two teams - Cov will be the happier as no one has gained on us - we are 12 points clear of 3r

It’s allowed Grimes to do what he does best and control games, without having to worry about doing everything.

Looks that way - Sheff W is the ideal opportunity really!
Yes....but that is what Leicester thought today!!

Lampard was keen to mention that we must respect Sheffield Wednesday next week....

Result was ‘meh’ but we’re hitting the required run rate. Win v Sheff Wednesday should be job job done be it mathematically or we set the scene for the promotion party for Blackburn away.

Not much to say about the game aside from it being Onyeka’s poorest game by far for us.
Think he was knackered. Back from international duty, tough game late Friday. Needs to rest up. Think it shows how important Lampard thinks he is that he actually started and finished the game.

I think we're probably seeing the consequences of his relative lack of regular match practice, I don't think his fitness is quite up to the standard it needs to be to perform well in games in quick succession. Also we have no idea what impact being a father to a new baby is having too.

New baby , plus travelling and playing with nigeria plus 2 games in 4 days
.

They all looked a bit tired today tbh , its a good point really

Maybe people jumped the gun or didn’t want to hear anything negative about him. Dunno.

Same as the Derby game when I called out a tired JDS, Kitching and Esse means we’ll likely be weaker down our left - and we were. Got some kickback on the initial comment then too.

I have no agenda, just sharing observations like the rest of us. On an internet forum.
You seem perturbed but don't give it a second thought mate. Say it how you see it and if people disagree that's fine. It's an anonymous talking shop and it's only bloody football!

Haven't read through the thread so sorry if I'm just parroting others.

Many of us have been looking at making 100 points and 100 goals. They're not the aims of our team. We had the big advantage of playing last. 2 sides that have to make points on us every game didn't win. We didn't need to win to be in a stronger position than we started the day. We didn't have to go all out and risk losing when draining even more energy out of our players. We did what we had to do.

Promotion is the first aim. Yesterday's results have nearly confirmed it considering we have Sheffield Wednesday next and they can't afford to drop any more points.

Saturday will now be massive. Norwich v Ipswich will be tasty. Norwich would love to put one over Ipswich as much as they'd like to reach the playoffs. If Norwich win and we also beat Sheffield Wednesday the gap would be 15 points with 6 games left for Ipswich. That's without bringing their run of games into it.

Yeah it was disappointing when he crossed and failed to beat the first hand

To be honest, balls into the box were pretty poor from everyone all night, Torp particularly.

But nevertheless, it’s a solid point away at a decent side fighting for a play off spot, would’ve taken a draw before the game and coming out with a clean sheet after that first 25 minutes is a credit to us. 4 more points!

Not the best performance. Onyeka was poor on the ball but as has been stated he’s had a lot of football / travel in the past week or so.
Although it won’t be mathematical, a win against Wednesday and we are promoted. Up the boys.

It could be mathematical. Just not until 5pm after the Middlesbrough game
