At least we finished with a bit more control because up until then we were dreadful. Wright looks a yard off the pace and Van Ewijk has switched off several times.
How Egan escaped a booking for the foul on Sakamoto was ridiculous.
Hopefully better second half.

Get Rudi on and we win this.

First 25 or 30 minutes of that were awful. After MvE looked so good on Friday, he's been awful tonight. So has Wright; he's not had much to work with, but has been very poor nonetheless. We've made some odd decisions at the back, too. Superb block from Kitching, mind.

Needs to be a lot better next half.

Think people's judgements are clouded tonight by desperation to get a win so that we can wrap it up at home, in a party atmosphere, when we score 15 against Wednesday on Saturday. They threw everything they had at us and Rushworth barely had a shot to save. Couple of players below their usual level, plenty of time left in the game.

Would it be wise to cash in on wright this year? Add to the funds as we might need a striker who will out it about abit more?
Although we'll get more for Wright, he is more likely to do better in the PL than Simms would. If we were cashing in on any striker, it'll be Simms. Ive heard Borolona are crying out for a striker and I highly doubt theyll keep hold of Hakney for another season in the Championship. Im sure we could make some sort of an agreement.

Well we weathered the first half storm. That alone is a lot to be grateful for considering we clearly aren't at our best.

This game would be very different if Wright could actually time his runs today, because JDS been dishing up some tasty treats for him but he's not even close. I can see him getting pulled at 60 for Simms at this rate.

I had this down as 2-1 Hull, and still think we'll lose, but I'm now going to add 2 secondary predictions:

It stays 0-0 and we grind it out, or an absolute shithouse win for us 1-0.

What I will say is that we would have been 2-0 down in a game like this in the past. Defended well enough today and got subs to come on to sway it in our favour.

Missed the first 20 so cant comment on that but I will say even before we got on top we never looked particularly bothered in any way.

We look strong on the left going forward, need Torp to roll it back to his early season form here!

Onwards and upwards, we're playing a tad sheepishly, clearly told it's more important to keep things tight and not lose, hopefully second half changes with rudoni coming on can give us what we needed last game.

We'd all love a win, but a draw is not a bad result here.

Played 2 decent sides in last 4 days. 4 or even 3 points wouldn't be a disaster, especially in the context of other results, but I fancy the quality of our subs and the coaching team getting into em at HT will get us over the line. Late win.

That was a tough watch. Better last 5-10 but too many off their games tonight. Let's hope for another Lampard half time team talk masterclass
They just need to calm it down a bit, slow it down, look for the opportunities. With got big players on the bench still to bring on. Not concerned yet. And we're going up anyway, would just be nice to do it at home on Saturday.

Don’t think it’s as bad as it looks reading this forum.

Hull were absolutely up for it with a sniff of automatics and we’re away from home. We’ve slowly weathered the storm and we’re building some decent moves with just that little bit of care missing
Yeah.

It was back to the wall for a little bit, but Rushworth hasn't had a shot to save has he?

And we grew into the game and started controlling it.

JDS has put some lovely balls in, but Wright is looking a bit sluggish

Would expect Rudoni on at some point, to give us a bit more of a threat

Happy with this so far. Would expect Hull to come again, but we have the quality to hurt them in the second half.

Grimes has been much more like his old self tonight.

Still fancy our chances and a draw wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

Agree with this

A away draw would be decent

And silver lining would be all the glory fans who got a ticket to see us clinch would be annoyed I guess?!

Hull haven’t played this well all season in fairness, not the first time it’s happened.

I’d have no qualms about it ending 0-0 tonight, annihilate Sheff Weds on Saturday then get it over the line at Blackburn.
