How many more?

Probably not, we'd never have met his salary. That's the type of statement experience signing we could do with though. Every now and then, a top player will be interested in a project, we just need to make sure we are that project.
 
I think Ipswich are signing too many first teamers

I’d like us to keep our identity a bit, I’m happy with most being part of squad

Stay up then carry on the grading process
 
Most crucially a lb is needed this week to get bedded in before Arsenal. I would be happy for JDS to be back up and used in cup and odd game of required but would be concerned if he remained Franks number one option.
Depending on how long Wright out for (do we know if it is just a couple games or half a season?) we might need to bring in 2 strikers and keep simms. If he is out for a long period I would be happy with one permanent and one loanee
Also a left sided CB (tomorri would be excellent but also now seen this Chelsea loanee rumour).

We don't even know wright is definitely injured yet
 
I think we are trying hard for another striker but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Wright go. He just doesn’t seem to be featuring in anything to do with the club and his general disposition at times in the second half of last season was a bit sulky.
 
I'm hoping 4. But 1 of them probably wont be a striker which I worry about.
CB - Tomori, RLC, other.
LB - Moura, other
LW - Mudryk maybe
ST - No idea

But we still seem to have a lot smoke around other midfielders, and I an only see that being at the expense of Torp or Eccles moving on. And i know theres no place for sentimentality, but I really want to see Eccles given a chance, he deserves to be given a shot at making a step up.
Rumours around Gomes stress me a bit, where does he fit in? We already have 2 RWs and I dont see him pushing Rudi/Hamer to 3rd choice CAM.

Not necessarily in the right formation, but this is the depth chart as I see it and whats needed to complete it.

So from last year, only Milan starts and the two loans are made perms. Everyone else is in the bin?
I think continuity and togetherness are intangibles you can't under estimate. They know the coach's ethos and what is expected of the squad. Driving the standard on the field isn't so easy when you have 11 guys who met 4 weeks ago.
Could we stay up by replacing the first 11? Maybe.
Could we go down by not doing that? Probably.
You will come back with Sunderland this and Forest that.
I'd state King as an owner is more aligned to Tony Bloom & Matthew Benthem. He is a trader. Incremental improvement, moving with the market value is his model.
So my ideal would be 2. LB to compete with JDS. ST on loan.
If the club and Haji aren't talking an extension then we have to move on (with the market value) and replace him in addition.

We don't need to change the whole starting 11 every year. Keep that for your Football Manager save.

Problem with that is if Wright goes we’ll need two strikers. We must be signing a left back and strikers are expensive

It’s been a consistent theme. The players that got us here being underrated. It’s not sentiment. They are good players. Some are obsessed with new faces - we need to focus on quality.

You can bookmark this, as I'd predict that whichever division we are in next year you will be asking for a new 11. (or 10!)
Everyone loves transfer speculation and adding to the squad. You are entitled to your view. I value continuity above potential (no guarentee how they work out with CCFC)

You kicked it off with this, then agreed with the next guy who quoted LB, LCB, CM, LW, ST as the 5.
Bearing in mind we have already signed a GK, RCB, DM, CM, RW then only RB (Milan) hasn't been replaced?
If you don't think any of these 5 potential signings will start then should we question why we are doing that business?

I said we need a LB. I suppose you have BTA in the 'bomb squad' and Tchouna will never play LW despite starting v Espanyol. Maybe Gus is going to carry on there after last season at Baldes?
Mudryk is going to join on loan and play 2nd fiddle to EMC I suppose or more likely, you have Ephron training with the u21's.

That’s optimistic - he’ll want them in January if we lose by the odd goal at Arsenal.

We absolutely have to sign a back up keeper.. Dovin needs games and I will be physically sick if Ben Wilson plays even one minute of Premier League football

That is more deluded than anything I've posted on this thread. Again, Tchaouna/Gus/BTA/Haji (if he stays) can all get minutes at LW. Apart from Loum, none are new faces which is the greatest stumbling block for you.
Let me know how the 60/30 split goes on FM.
