The football season is paused? Cases are rising. Pillar 1 testing is going up which is ominous. If we carry on as we are i doubt we'll get past the end of this month.

cases rising
hospital admissions not -(only 468 in hospital with covid and only 58 of those are ventilated)

its certainly about being careful, but the government have a duty not to cause panic

the 468 is still decreasing on a daily basis = we should worry if it turns the other way

I think we probably need to wait a week or 2 to see if hospital cases/deaths start rising again.

Not sure where you're getting your numbers from but there are far more in hospital. Not that it is a reliable barometer as I have a strong suspicion that admissions are being suppressed. See the coronavirus thread.

I'm going to go with, wont happen. Football will carry on, no idea when we'll get back to watching though! Ive pencilled in Blues at home as the first game, pure guess obviously.

Economy cant afford another full lock down, may see odd weeks locally but no reason to cancel the football season!

I’m thinking we’ll be back in lockdown next month. Until testing capacity is anything close to what it should be the current situation just won’t work.

The economy can’t afford lockdown in all but name because the virus is running rampant and people stay at home twice as long as they would have.

It’s not economy vs health. Sort the health and the economy is sorted. People locked down off their own back before government advice and will again. Government needs to get control of it quicker if we want to limit the damage to the economy, not let it keep going.

The economy is mostly confidence, this government instills next to no confidence in many people.

I think it will carry on, they'll be bubbled up and regularly tested, we just won't get to see it in person.

Five wins, none conceded over September and early October should see us go up automatically on ppg?

Imagine that, we'll win the Premier League the year after on a similar basis after lockdown is reimposed just as we go a goal up against Man City in the opening game. The only goal scored in that season.

No there isn't. At least not in UHCW. 2 corona patients as of today. First hand from a good friend in Cardiology

Don’t think they will stop it, if it peaks again it might stall especially if teams are isolating etc. I think they would revert back to empty grounds as the first step prior to stopping completely

Coronavirus: Birmingham lockdown restrictions increased

Households in the city and nearby Sandwell and Solihull are banned from mixing as cases rise.

I'm going by the numbers of the corona website published by DH / PHE. 600 in England, which given there are 200 NHS acute hospitals tallies OK with 2 in Cov.

I heard a while ago they were planning another lockdown for October time and it seems like they are kicking things off now.

There is always a time lag between cases being identified and hospital admissions rising.... let’s see what it’s like in a few weeks time

There is no plan. They're making it all
Up as they go along.
The only thing they put any thought in to is siphoning money off to their mates in the form of bullshit contracts.
The latest one is this moonshot bollocks going to a company that Johnson's half brother has recently joined the board of.
The British public deserved to get mugged off to be honest, this is what they voted for.
