I think that is an unfair comment. I think he was too good for us and often played the ball to where a player should be. alas most of his team mates were not on the same level as him.

It's all about opinions and I respect both yours and Stu's but I remember it completely different and that first year he went missing a lot and certainly wasn't the player he was at Leeds and the fans were on his back!

Certainly turned it around and ended up both superb for us and Liverpool though.

Nuddy and Nilsson. Both fantastic players and I doubt we'll ever see anyone even half as good wear a City in the future.

However the best individual performance I've seen was Chippo when we beat the Vile 2-1. Sprayed the ball around effortlessly and without error. Kept James busy with a couple of decent efforts.

Chippo's brilliant through-ball, Keane's perfect cross, Roussel's bullet header for 1-0. Probably my favourite ever City goal.

Still don't know to this day how Keane's effort with the outside of his right boot didn't go in. Also have to say how good Hadji's touch and pass was for Keane's goal.

Can't wait to watch similar link up play and performances to the above against Colchester on Saturday.

Big Cyril Regis for me. Was really over the moon when we got him and never let us down.

Some great players in the 60's, my hero Willie Carr, George Curtis, a rock, Gibbidy Gibson, so skilful, Ronnie Rees, 'blue eyed Ernie Machin etc etc. Then Cyril Regis, the cup winning defence, Dublin/Huckerby up front. How about Gordon Strachan at the end of his career? Does anyone remember an away match at the Dell late 90's? Losing 2-0 with half an our to go, Strachan comes on as sub at 40 plus years old, and totally runs the rest of the game. We draw 2-2 and would have won if the game had lasted 5 more minutes. Some great players over the years.
