In italian we call this joke "barzelletta"... is very nice, but we can use the same words for Fiat cars...

Terun (only one "r") and Terrone are the same words, but the first is in the "regional language" (=dialet) of almost all the counties of north of Italy, and the second is in italian language. But remember that is a "bad word" wich they use to talk about people from the south of Italy. Is good to use between friends. Often, people usually use this words to talk about Juventus supporters (because Juventus has got a lot of fans in every part of Italy, but most of Juventus fans in Torino comes from the south of Italy).
For the "bad words", if you send me a private message I can explain you all you need (I don't want to have a ban in the first days on this forum)

Hardly. It's mostly supporters of Lega Nord who would want that to happen. The north and the south aren't as different as some of northerns like to believe.

There are good and bad parts to the country, it is slowly changing in my opinion. It is disturbing that that tosser got voted back in, it seems a lot of Italians admire/respect him. Luckily there are also many who feel ashamed that he managed to hold onto power for so long. Saying that, there are certain aspects of Italian life that Britain could learn from though.
I don't disagree with any of that.
There's also an element within Italy who operate outside the auspices of any political framework and yet they have a big say in who does what. The Mafia, IL Vaticano and the P2 mob are all in it for what they can get. The average DC voter with half a brain feels disenchanted and bitter. They pay their taxes but their children have no prospects.
Still, they did at least find Silvio guilty (female judge) so there's hope.
So what can we learn from them?
How to grow and drink wine, how to cook and eat, how to wear sunglasses and make decent films....and swear.
And that's it.
