Breaking my pledge to not post whilst away on holiday. What the frig are people on about. He has had some cracking games for City. He's even played well this season. I can't account for tonight, but it seems to me that some tunnel visioned fans see that his crossing is sometimes suspect and that he doesn't defend like Ashleg Cole and get on his back. What's the point? He's made a huge step up and adapted well to professional football and he's the best/only thing we have! Deal with it.

Since he's been here he's had to adapt to league football while playing for, let's be frank and honest, a consistently woeful team, with several managers with different styles of play. It's the same in any workplace - it takes time to understand the new role you're asked to play. He'll have played for, what, 5 different managers this time next week (assuming Shaw doesn't get the job). Try telling me you wouldn't be confused in your job if you had that level of inconsistent direction.
His position on the pitch is one of the least complex on the pitch..he has one way to go forward and backwards on the left side of the pitch..regardless , left back pretty much has a standard tactic

I agree. I mean of you are going to identify a reason we are where we are it's nothing to do with Chris Hussey. Booing him and singling him out is pathetic by any standards.

What it has nothing to do with formation?

The centre back just has to defend, the striker just has to score. This is easy. Perhaps we don't need a new manager then. We could just point the players at your educated posts and save ourselves a few bob.

Well in my humble opinion the manager has an influence on team affairs and eventual outcomes a tiny bit more than a left full back. Perhaps not in your view - oh and also I didn't boo or jeer during the game at thorn as I believe such behaviour during a game can only be detrimental to performance.

Without slating Kilbane too much, I think he lets Hussey down. Hussey almost occupies the left back and left midfield position by himself, and I think Kilbane often leaves him exposed. It has made Hussey's position difficult at times, and I'd wager a fair amount he covers more miles than just about anyone else in the team and he's the left back!
Additionally, I really don't think Hussey has played too badly either, tries hard to get forward and copes with the formation better than any of our other full backs.

As I said this isn't to have too much of a dig at Kilbane, but personally I think he's being played too much, 4 games in 10 days, for a 35 year old, is asking a lot. I must confess I didn't go tonight, but I thought he looked tired against Crewe. You can see he wants to cover every blade of grass, but if we're to use him throughout the season I think in games like tonight we should hand the captains armband to someone else and give him the night off!

Fact is you clearly like hussey.I don't I think he's awful and should be shipped out and replaced on loan by somebody more capable..some people like certain players some don't end of

Kilbane was centre mid tonight, it was Mcsheffrey letting him down.

What a stupid thread, I was at the game our gave him grief most of the match, then during the shoot out he held his nerve to score, and quite justifiably celebrated with a fist the air.

I'm afraid those 'fans' who like nothing better than a witch hunt need to try again as they are wrong

I for one am sick of the stick that some. of our players receive from our own so called fans and if hussey did do this(which i dont think he did) i dont blame him.
in my oppinion hussey was one positive from last season, ok he has had a slow start to this campaign but how will booing everything he does help! He is a human being and doing that will zap any confidence out of him.
For god sake try and get behind the players, it will improve morale & confidence therefore make the more composed on the ball and general play will improve

Rant over. Bring on stevenage! pusb.

I have noticed a lot of the booers are youngish lads about 16-20 who obviously think it is cool and have been brought up thinking if they boo the loudest they have the biggest willy.

There were about 5 near me today who booed and found it hilarious if they shouting "you are shit" to a player they thought it was hilarious.

Never happened, he turned to the crowd, pumped his fists and shouted. Nothing more. The booing was a disgrace.

Do you abuse ball boys as well? He was pretty good since January last year. Get real.

Definitely

How bout you get real, we are talking about a 23 year old pro footballer that would be lucky to get picked for a pub team, not a young boy who gets abuse from a load of meat heads. So think before you comment about getting real

He celebrated his penalty and never made any obscene gestures to the crowd. He didn't have a good game but he was no worse than a number of others tonight and the booing after about 25 mins onwards was a disgrace. Hussey has been playing the left side of the pitch by himself most of the season and needs some support.

Hussey is a pussy. He is not a professional footballer, and is shite. If this is true, he should do that in the centre of Coventry, then see how far he gets, the :jerkit:

End of Thread

You're confusing Coventry with some lawless Mad max post-apocalyptic anarchy. I'm sure if he gave the finger to a number of twats shouting at him in town nothing would happen whatsoever.
